Japan: Practitioners' Performance Welcomed at Machida Summer Festival (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 25, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners participated in the stage performances at the Summer Festival in Machida and shared the grace of Falun Gong with the audience.

The annual Summer Festival is a popular traditional event in Machida. The mayor and speaker of the Machida City Council spoke at the event. Practitioners participated in the festivities for the first time.

The practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises and performed traditional fan dancing, the "Fairy Deity" to show the serene realm of cultivation, and "Golden Buddha with a Thousand Hands" to show Buddha's compassion and solemnity. They also sang "Falun Dafa Coming to the Human World."

Their performance won warm applause. After the performance, a person in charge expressed his appreciation and said that the festival committee would invite Falun Gong practitioners again next year. The practitioners explained to him the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. After listening to the explanation, he said, "I think that the tyrannical CCP wants to persecute Falun Gong just because of the huge number of practitioners. There are no human rights in China. I studied in Beijing. Students there who gathered together just to play the guitar were dispersed. Though there are lies being spread even here, the festival committee does not believe them. Your performance was touching."
