Montreal, Canada: People Applaud and Cheer at the Parade to Support Quitting the CCP (Photos)
By Xiao Yan
(Clearwisdom.net) "The Communist Party is synonymous with criminals,
and the biggest disaster in this world is the Communist Party," a man said
emotionally. At 3:00 p.m. on August 26, 2007, the Montreal Service Center for
Quitting the CCP held a parade in Chinatown to support the 25 million people who
have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. People in Montreal supported the 25 million brave people that
have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations The procession marched through Chinatown People applauded and cheered to express their support for
those who have quit People learned the facts and gave a thumbs-up to express their
support One man took two flyers, saying that one was for his friend. He said that his
name was Slavie Panauf and that he was from Bulgaria. He said that the number of
people killed by Mao Zedong and Stalin far exceeds the total number of people
who were killed in the two World Wars. "The name Communist is equal to
criminal," he said. A 20-year-old French woman passing by Chinatown came to get a flyer. She was
very angry when she heard that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is harvesting
organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. What she thought was even more
intolerable was that some Chinese people showed an indifferent attitude toward
the news. She said, "In the face of such a horrific event as their own
compatriots having their organs harvested while they are still alive, they do
nothing? I think this is very shameful. That's very sad." She was very pleased to learn that Falun Gong is taught free of charge. She
asked for the Falun Dafa website and said she would come to learn to practice
Falun Gong. The coordinator of the parade, Mr. Wei, a volunteer for the Montreal Service
Center for Quitting the CCP, said that since the Epoch Times published
the editorial series Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party
in November 2004, volunteers at the Service Center for Quitting the CCP have
been handing out copies of the Nine Commentaries every day in order to
help more people see clearly the CCP's evil nature. They also want to spread the
news that many more Chinese people have quit. They hope that more people will
quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations as soon as possible. Mr. Wei said that, while the wave of people quitting the CCP has been moving
forward, Montreal's Chinatown has undergone great changes. More and more people
are taking copies of the Nine Commentaries, and more and more people have
signed the signature collection book to announce their renunciation of the CCP
and its affiliated organizations. He said, "Recently, several people have
come up to encourage us, saying that we have done a very meaningful thing and
that we have done well. People are inspired by what we are doing. More and more
people have realized that only by quitting the CCP, will there be a hopeful
future." During the one-hour procession around Chinatown and the surrounding streets,
many people watched and took materials. Many Chinese people were not as fearful
as before and walked up to volunteers for the Service Center to Quit the CCP to
express their admiration. When the procession passed by, some Chinese Canadians
nodded and offered praise, some made a thumbs-up gesture, and some said
repeatedly, "Good! Good! Good! I'm very happy to see this parade." |
