France: Eight Years of Steadfast and Unyielding Opposition to the Persecution of Falun Gong (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 22, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioners once again held a rally protesting the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong and its removing of organs from living practitioners. The rally was held in Human Rights Square opposite the famous Eiffel Tower.

Since the CCP started to illegally persecute Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Falun Gong practitioners in France have been unremittingly raising awareness about the persecution, appealing to kind people to help stop this inhuman persecution.

At this rally of protest, practitioners joined the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Democratic Party of China to speak over a loudspeaker to Chinese tourists coming and going. They enumerated many of the crimes the CCP has committed since it gained power, from political movements such as the Three Anti Campaigns (targeting corruption, waste and bureaucracy), the Five Anti Campaigns (against bribery, tax evasion, theft of the state property, cheating on government contracts and espionage of state economic information), the Anti-Rightist Movement, the Cultural Revolution and the Tiananmen Square Massacre, to its cruel persecution of Falun Gong. They explained that Falun Gong practitioners believe in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance and went on to describe the organ harvesting atrocities the CCP now commits. They repeatedly appealed to Chinese people to recognize the true nature of the CCP, to quit the CCP and its associated organizations and to distance themselves from its atrocities.

Practitioners clarified the truth over the loudspeaker in Chinese, French and English: "We, Falun Gong practitioners, are a group who cultivates Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance without any political aspirations. The CCP's persecution of Falun Gong is illegal and its means of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners are horrifying. They make up rumors and slander Falun Gong using the whole state propaganda machinery. They force those who practice Falun Gong to renounce their beliefs by brainwashing them; they force them to do hard labor and sentence them to prison, and they torture these practitioners with all kinds of excruciating methods. Tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners are illegally detained in forced labor camps and detention centers, suffering brutal torture. 3,064 Falun Gong practitioners are confirmed dead as a result of the persecution. What is even more cruel is that they remove the bodily organs of living people so they can make huge profits in organ transplants. They regard Falun Gong practitioners as a living organ bank. We hereby appeal to you to please help stop this inhuman persecution. We have only one purpose: Stop the persecution immediately!"

Practitioners also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, contrasting sharply with the CCP torture.

Passers-by were moved by the diligence and kindness of Falun Gong practitioners and shocked at the re-enactment disclosing the brutal torture methods used by the CCP. That such atrocities still exist in the world today is a real shame for human civilization. They stopped and watched. After accepting leaflets, they started to talk with practitioners to learn more about it. Many people signed the petition.

A martial arts team from China passed by. After carefully listening, they asked for more materials on Falun Gong to take with them.

Philip, a French doctor of Jewish origin, said, "All that I have seen (the persecution) is horrifying, which I have never heard of. I think that it is a very good thing to let people know what is happening in China. We have no right to stop people from believing in religion, which involves respect for others. Although western countries are able to put pressure on China, they don't respect human dignity just for the sake of economic interest, which is beyond the principle of my acceptance. As a responsible doctor, I must not tolerate the transactions involving the buying and selling of organs. For me, this violates ethics and morality. Even though one's life is in danger, one should not conduct such a transaction because we know this can make so many innocent lives suffer; we will become accomplices. We can never do such a thing whether it is for our survival or making money. If it is purely to make money, it is more shameful."

A gentleman named Nicholas from Poland said, "We must not allow the Olympic Games to be held there; otherwise, it will mean that international consensus is in support of the Chinese government (the CCP). I think that the Olympic Games should be resisted."

Another said, "We must boycott the Olympic Games because they (the CCP) are selling human organs for money and this is not a thing that humans do."

In the evening, Falun Gong practitioners in France held a candlelight vigil for fellow practitioners who have been persecuted to death in mainland China. Practitioners sat silently in memory of fellow practitioners, with white candles in their hands, solemn and holy. This symbolizes the power of kindness penetrating everything. Morality will overcome evil; this will be the time when the truth about Falun Gong will come out.
