The Philippine Star newspaper featured the following photo on July 30, 2007. It shows Falun Gong practitioners protesting the persecution and demonstrating the exercises near the Philippine International Convention Center, where an ASEAN regional forum was underway. China is a member of the 23-country Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
