Taiwan: Falun Gong Workshop for Elementary School Teachers Held in Nantou (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net) On August 20 and 21, 2007, a Falun Dafa workshop for elementary school teachers was held at Kuangrong Elementary School in Nantou. The workshop was organized by the Minghui Education Association of Taiwan, the Falun Dafa Association of Taiwan and Kuangrong Elementary School, and was supported by the Nantou County Department of Education. Eighty teachers and Nantou residents attended.

Lin Yiru, a Nantou representative, said that many parents only focus on their children's grades but ignore their moral education. He believes that the Falun Gong workshop can help teachers in this aspect.

Professor Hou Niantsu gave a speech entitled, "Seeking Knowledge and Morality." He emphasized that a high moral standard can help people improve their skills and technology. He shared his experience of cultivating Falun Gong.

Ms. Hsu Hsiuying, the principal of Chengkung Elementary School in Changhua County, shared her experience of handling daily affairs using the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

Hua Jingchen, a doctor of Chinese medicine, briefly introduced the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to the attendees. He said that cultivating Falun Gong can help people understand traditional Chinese culture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Chang Fuchang, a writer, discussed the divine culture of China. He showed that many Chinese written characters have within them the profound content of cultivation practice.

The attendees all expressed that they had learned a lot from the workshop. Several elementary school principals indicated that they would invite the speakers to their schools to share their experiences with the teachers.
