Practitioner Yu Xuelun of Macheng City in Hubei Province Deceived by Spies and Illegally Arrested in Shenzheng City

(Clearwisdom.net) Around 2:00 a.m. on August 1, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yu Xuelun from Macheng City, Hubei Province was illegally arrested by personnel in Baoan District of Shenzheng City, Guandong Province.

Mr. Yu Xuelun was once a secondary school teacher in Macheng City. After he started to practice Falun Gong, the students he taught all showed improvement in their grades, and their behavior improved. In this way, he also influenced a few other teachers and many students to practice Falun Gong. Since the persecution began eight years ago, Mr. Yu has been illegally detained and persecuted many times. His father, who is in his seventies, cannot enjoy his son's company in peace. His father-in-law passed away suddenly due to the immense mental pressure of these last few years. His wife and children have all suffered emotional pain.

Since May 2007, some people have gone to the branch office in Hankou that Mr. Yu Xuelun works for to persuade him to donate funds. They deceptively asked for funds to buy equipment to print the Chinese edition of The Epoch Times, to buy a "satellite," etc. They even lied to say that some practitioners had sold their houses and donated ten of thousands of yuan and then rented a house in poor condition to live in. They also made use of his fellow practitioner in Wuhan, Mr. Chen, to go to his residence frequently to ask for funds. Mr. Yu thus could not work and rest in peace. They even took the opportunity when Mr. Yu's boss was around to go to Wuhan City to handle some business. One of them, who supposedly had a PhD, and a few others went early in the morning to compel Mr. Yu to see his boss to borrow funds. His boss had no choice but to tell Mr. Yu "to do as he deemed fit" before he left. The branch office had just started operations and thus funds were low. They tried to force Mr. Yu to borrow funds from the head office. During this period of time, the editors of the Minghui/Clearwisdom website published the article, "Overseas Practitioners Should Not Accept Financial Help from Practitioners in China to Validate the Fa." When the practitioners learned about this, they realized that spies had been taking advantage of the loophole and had plotted this devious scheme for a long time. When Mr. Yu realized this and asked Mr. Chen to give the money back, Mr. Chen and those people disappeared and could not be found.

On June 23, on the way to the storeroom of his company, Mr. Yu found that he was being followed. Mr. Yu managed to throw the person off his tail. In August, Mr. Yu was illegally arrested by the police. As far as we know, the boss, the accountant and a few practitioners working in the same company as Mr. Yu were all arrested.
