Looking Inward and Harmonizing Together

(Clearwisdom.net) As Falun Dafa practitioners, we are one body. When we coordinate well with each other, the power of validating the Fa is grand. If fellow practitioners have not performed perfectly, we should harmonize and supplement what they did so that we can save more sentient beings.

Recently, I called a police officer involved in the persecution in China to clarify the facts about Falun Gong. When the call was put through, his language was very abusive. From his words, I learned that some practitioners had just called him, but did not achieve an ideal effect.

The officer thought that I was one of those practitioners, and he shouted over the phone. When he hung up the phone, I momentarily felt like giving up on him. Afterwards, I calmly thought about it and realized that since the officer was so hot-tempered, we did not clarify the truth well nor achieve the goal of saving him. If we give up on him, things may go contrary to our wishes. What is the goal of our phone calls? We did not call for calling's sake, but for saving sentient beings. Upon looking inward, I found my attachments of muddling through my work, not cherishing sentient beings enough, and slacking off in saving sentient beings.

At that point, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eradicate all evil elements behind the officer and dialed his number once again. He burst out with abusive words again, but I felt that the evil elements behind him had been weakened. I maintained pure righteous thoughts and thought only about that officer's future.

When I called him a third time, he did not verbally abuse me, but asked, "Do you consider yourself to be pretty patient?" I just answered, "Do you think I am?" He responded, "Yes, I do. I feel that you are so sincere, so that's why I want to tell you why you are wrong." By the sixth time I called, he quietly listened to me for about one minute. I sensed that my pure mind had disintegrated the evil behind him, so the Fa's power was displayed and his conscience was recovered. In the end, he finished our conversation quietly.

By looking inward, I was able to build upon the work of fellow practitioners to become one body, so the phone calls genuinely achieved our goal of saving the officer. I became more clear of my mission as a Falun Gong disciple, and my xinxing improved.
