Dafa Practitioners' Solemn Statements

I used to have many illnesses, an erratic temper, and a very competitive personality, always wanting to outshine others. In 1998 I was fortunate to learn Falun Dafa, and started to cultivate myself by following Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Shortly after my practice, Master purified my body and made me a very healthy person. More importantly I improved my morality. After 1999, however, the evil authorities searched my home many times, arrested me, imprisoned and persecuted me. In the first half of 2000, local authorities coaxed me to go to the township building, where they locked me up in the local police station and forced me to write the "Pledge not to Practice Falun Gong". A township staff member came to me with a blank form and coerced me to sign my name on it, which I did out of fear. In 2001 and 2002, I was again illegally arrested and imprisoned in detention centers. Again I signed my name on the paperwork for detention. I hereby solemnly declare that all my written "Guarantees", fingerprints, and my signatures given under coercion are null and void, and all the words and deeds that go against Dafa principles are null and void. I am determined to uphold my practice, redouble my efforts to make up for the loss I caused to Dafa, and do the three things well.

Solemn Declaration

At 2 pm, on May 12, police searched my home and found a weekly magazine of "Quitting the CCP". They took me to the police department and interrogated me about the origin of the magazine. I said someone else left it in my home, but they were not convinced so they detained me. When my spouse and daughter went to the police department to demand my release, the police ordered them to persuade me to write "Guarantees". The police threatened them saying it was my second "offense", so they would imprison me in a forced labor camp for three years and have my employer fire me. Out of fear, my family members kept pressuring me to write the "Guarantees". Because of my fear, I failed to pass the test of sentimentality and personal interest. I finally wrote the "Guarantees" for police. After I returned to work, the CCP Secretary in my workplace coerced me to write a whole story and, once again, more "Guarantees". "You'll be fired if you don't," they threatened me again. After returning home, I realized that I failed the test and that, compared to the practitioners who refused to cooperate with the evil even in face of torture, I am deeply ashamed of myself and am unworthy of Master's teachings. Through Fa study, I am able to recognize the plot by the evil and to understand that I must thoroughly deny any arrangement by the Old Forces. I hereby solemnly declare all my written and verbal "Guarantees" are null and void. I will walk the path arranged by Master and do the "three things" well.
