(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution.

Ma Pinglie, in his 40's, was the former chief of the Yanji City Detention Center. He had persecuted several dozen Falun Gong practitioners. Ma and Xiao Bin from the National Security Team and 610 Office of Yanji City had detained Falun Gong practitioner Pan Shuying, who is in her 60's, in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp, and subjected her to severe persecution. The elderly lady suffered symptoms of a stroke due to the persecution and passed away.

In the winter of 2006, Ma had cranial bleeding and entered a vegetative state. He died in the spring of 2007.

Wang Qijie is the chief of the Taolinpu Township Jurisdiction Office in Hengchuan County, Henan Province. Since July 20, Wang had been actively following the evil party to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. He opened many brainwashing classes in the town, and forced Falun Gong practitioners to write statements to renounce their belief. He also extorted fines from practitioners. Over ten thousand Yuan in fines has been extorted by Wang.

Some Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal. After conducting the arrest, Wang often waited and monitored practitioners' homes and reported everything he saw to his superiors. In 2001, one practitioner was sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. On every holiday, he would come and force practitioners to write statements to renounce their belief.

In the autumn of 2002, a practitioner was arrested after returning home. Wang kidnapped the practitioner and sent him to a brainwashing class. The practitioner refused to cooperate with him, so when the practitioner returned home, Wang once again came to harass him and to try to force the practitioner to write a statement. The practitioner refused to cooperate with him. Wang then tried to send her to a long-term brainwashing class. The practitioner was not afraid of Wang, so his effort to take the practitioner to brainwashing classes ended in vain.

At the end of 2003, Wang did not feel well. He was diagnosed with four types of cancer. He spent over two hundred thousand Yuan in treating the illnesses and died in three months. He was fifty-one when he died. Local people say he received retribution for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.

Zhao Miao is the deputy chief of the National Security Group of Hengchuan County, Henan Province. Zhao believed that the persecution of Falun Gong was an opportunity to get himself promoted. So he actively followed orders from the wicked party. A practitioner was arrested after going to Beijing to appeal. He was detained in Hedian Detention Center for a month. During interrogation, Zhao maliciously kicked the practitioner onto the floor and kicked twice more. After being released, the practitioner was forced to become homeless. Two years later, Zhao Miao once again ordered police to arrest the practitioner. He handcuffed the practitioner and forbade him from wearing clothes in December. He was very evil. In 2003, Zhao was caught in a car crash, and one of his legs was broken. He was demoted.

Jiang Yongxiao, female, who worked at the Steel Factory, is the director of Baila Village Residence Management Committee. Since July 1999, she had been slandering Falun Gong, following, monitoring, and reporting on Falun Gong practitioners' activities. Practitioners had tried to tell her the truth of Falun Gong, and advised her not to persecute Falun Gong, but she did not listen. She even reported practitioners who kindly advised her not to persecute Falun Gong, to the local 610 office and detention center. (In 2000 alone, Falun Gong practitioner Du and Zhang were kidnapped after Jiang reported them to the police station. The practitioners were therefore sent to prison to be persecuted.)

Jiang was very healthy before, but now her health declined. (She had diabetes and lost her eyesight.) Why is it? An old man in the local community said, "She had persecuted so many Falun Gong practitioners, so she would definitely receive retribution."
