Speech at UK Press Conference: Eight Years of Persecution Is an Intolerable Injustice

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 21, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners held an activity to mark practitioners' peaceful eight-year resistance of the persecution. The following speech was made by Ms. Zhou, a Falun Gong practitioner from mainland China, during a press conference was held at the Chinese Consulate in London:

Another July 20^th has arrived. It is the date that all Falun Gong practitioners will never forget. It has already been a full eight years since the evil CCP started to persecute the kindhearted Falun Gong practitioners. As a Falun Gong practitioner who used to suffer from the persecution in mainland China, I am now calling on all people in the world to help end the persecution and help the Falun Gong practitioners who are being persecuted just for remaining steadfast in their belief.

Personally, I have experienced and witnessed the development of Falun Gong, and the great benefits brought to society from the positive changes of Falun Gong practitioners in both mind and body. The principle of Falun Gong is based on "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance". The morality it has shown has moved people' hearts so that nearly a hundred million people have started to practice Falun Gong.

Falun Gong was rapidly spreading from person-to-person and heart-to-heart, which allowed the Chinese people to find a long lost root of their ancestral culture and tradition, but it attracted the jealousy of a crafty psychopath and the fear of the evil dictatorship. Jiang Zemin and the CCP started the irrational persecution of Falun Gong.

The evil CCP launched the genocide of Falun Gong practitioners by using such policies as "Physically destroy them, ruin their reputations and financially bankrupt them," and "Those who are beaten to death counts as them committing suicide, the details will not be investigated and the bodies will be cremated directly." They have even removed organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for sale and then cremated their bodies to eliminate the evidence.

China, under the rule of the CCP, is like a big prison. Just for persisting in my belief, every day I was watched and deprived of meeting with other practitioners and speaking to them. I was in danger of being forcefully taken to the brainwashing class or a forced labor camp when I was in mainland China. I was even forced to become destitute and homeless for two years so as to avoid arrest. During the Chinese New Year of 2004, within two months of returning home to visit my family I was taken away by the CCP police. I was illegally detained for a month.

But those who know the true meaning of life do not give up their belief just because their bodies and spirits are tortured. Falun Gong's principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" requires that Falun Gong practitioners take the form of non-violence in the process of bringing the persecution to an end. During the past eight years, the international community has seen Falun Gong practitioners' unyielding diligence while facing the irrational and cruel persecution. At the same time, more and more people are identifying with Falun Gong practitioners' spirit in the process of their efforts against the persecution and the universal value of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" has been praised by the international community and the Chinese people.

What the evil CCP never expected is that it would put itself into a corner in the process of its persecution of Falun Gong. Its ruthless massacre of kind-hearted people has already awakened the Chinese people. People have not forgotten that the CCP has caused the deaths of eighty million Chinese people in order to secure its absolute control in many political movements, from the suppression of 'counter-revolutionaries,' land reform, the 'Three Anti' Campaign, the 'Five Anti' Campaign, the Anti-rightist movement, to the Cultural Revolution, and the so-called crackdown on Falun Gong.

The CCP's lies have been exposed and people have awakened. Who wants to be buried with the evil Party who has committed such monstrous crimes? The spring tide of quitting the CCP is now spreading all over China. Twenty-four million people have quit the CCP to cast aside the CCP's atrocities.

Now, I am sternly warning those who are still participating in the persecution: It is justice that good is rewarded with good and evil is met with evil. The persecution of Falun Gong cannot continue and will bring persecutors a terrible end. Today you can have money and power, but you will not escape from the judgment of the just tomorrow. I hope that you stop committing wrongdoing for the sake of your future. I also hope that kind Chinese people can make a clear distinction between right and wrong, and quit the CCP in order to rescue themselves. The day of the CCP's collapse is the day that a new China is born.
