(Clearwisdom.net) On July 17, 2007, practitioner Ms. Dai Zongzhen's relatives went to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province to visit Ms. Dai, her daughter (Ms. Wang Peng), and Ms. Dai's brother (Mr. Dai Zongqiu). They asked the authorities to release the three Falun Gong practitioners unconditionally. But the guards refused to allow them to meet the detained practitioners with the excuse that they didn't bring all the required documents. They were told that they have to bring their personal identification, Permanent Resident Booklet, and a document signed by their local police. They were also told that only non-practitioner relatives would be allowed to meet with their detained relatives.

Earlier, on May 23, Ms. Dai's relatives had already visited both Wangcun Women's Forced Labor Camp and Wangcun Men's Forced Labor Camp, but they were refused permission to meet their detained relatives at both places. The Wangcun Women's Forced Labor Camp even refused to pass on Ms. Dai's summer clothes to her at first. The policewoman who finally came to pick up Ms. Dai's clothes had a very bad attitude toward the relatives and claimed that Ms. Dai was stubborn [because she refuses to give up the practice of Falun Gong].

Having visited the forced labor camp twice and traveling hundreds of kilometers in vain, the relatives had wasted their time and money. All they got was more pain on the top of the pain of having their relatives detained illegally. Why? Their relatives were detained only because they want to be good people.

Ms. Dai Zongzhen, 52, is an employee of the Socialism Institute of Weifang City. She suffered from serious heart and kidney diseases before she began practicing Falun Gong. After she began the practice, her illnesses all disappeared and she became more dedicated in her work. Ms. Dai is well known as a very kind person. After the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, she was arrested and detained by the authorities. In October 2000, local authorities tried to arrest her again. Faced with no other choice, she, her husband, and their daughter, left their home.

Ms. Wang Peng is Ms. Dai's 26-year-old daughter. Practicing Falun Gong helped her become an open minded person and brought her out of deep depression. She was in college in Beijing when the persecution started. Because she refused to give up her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she was forced to drop out of college. During the past few years, Ms. Wang Peng has been living a homeless life with her parents and suffering hardships that others her age can't imagine.

Mr. Dai Zongqiu, 48, is Ms. Dai Zongzhen's brother. He previously suffered from serious diabetes, which disappeared after he started practicing Falun Gong. He was detained at the Changle Forced Labor Camp for two years beginning in 2001. His health became very poor due to the torture and forced labor, and his diabetes recurred. He was emaciated for a long time after he was released from the forced labor camp.

These practitioners each benefited from practicing Falun Gong, and they want to continue practicing Falun Gong. But the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has never stopped persecuting this family over the past eight years. On the evening of April 18, 2007, the National Security Bureau in Weifang City and the Police Department of Weifang City started another round of illegal arrests. Dozens of policemen arrested Ms. Dai Zongzhen, Ms. Wang Peng, and Mr. Dai Zongqiu, who was living in his hometown of Anqiu City, as well as about thirty other Falun Dafa practitioners at the same time in many different areas. The CCP first put them into a detention center for about a month. They then transferred three of them to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. Practitioners Wang Xinming, Hua Yuliang, and others were sentenced to time in forced labor camps at the same time.

Here, I encourage all people of justice to raise your voices and lend your help to stop this eight-year-long persecution. Please help free Ms. Dai Zongzhen, Ms. Wang Peng, Mr. Dai Zongqiu and other detained Falun Gong practitioners.
