After the death of Ms. Jiang Pai, resulting from severe abuse, her father cannot file a complaint. He suffers from chronic stress along with the misery of losing his beloved daughter. He ended up agreeing to sign paperwork to have Ms. Jiang Pai cremated. On July 7, a dozen police officers guarded the mortuary house where Ms. Jiang's body was sent for cremation.
2. [Liaoning Province] Twelve Practitioners Unlawfully Held at Wafangdian Detention Center
On July 9, 2007, practitioners Mr. Cui Dejun, Mr. Gao Zhuo, and Ms. Song Changmei were taken from the Gongji Police Station to the Wafangdian Detention Center. They have since been on hunger strike. A total of twelve practitioners have been unlawfully held at the Wafangdian Detention Center.

At around 2:00 p.m. on July 17, 2007, five or six police officers from the Xinshichang Police Station in Xinshi District, Baoding City suddenly broke into practitioner Mr. Bai Yankui's home. The officers conducted an unlawful search and took Mr. Bai and his wife Ms. Wen Ping to the Xinshichang Police Station. At 6:00 p.m. that same afternoon, the police returned to Mr. Bai's home to take pictures. At around 3:00 p.m. on July 18, Mr. Bai and his wife were transferred to the Baoding City Detention Center.

5. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Jihui Brutally Beaten - Her Wallet and Truth-Clarifying Materials Taken Away
At around 9:00 a.m. on June 12, 2007, Ms. Li Jihui, a practitioner living in Group 6 of Jiulong Village, Longfeng Town, Pengzhou City, was unlawfully arrested by Pengzhou State Security Police, officers from the Guankou Police Station, local thugs hired by the police, and patrolling security guards in Longfeng Town. They took Ms. Li's wallet and truth-clarifying materials. In the patrol security office in Longfeng Town, four or five people surrounded and beat her. Ms. Li's mouth and nose bled. She was forced to stand facing the wall. Another group of people beat her again and poured water over her.
6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Whereabouts of Ms. Wu Weixiu Remain Unknown
At around 3:00 p.m. on July 13, 2007, practitioner Ms. Wu Weixiu, 62, was taken away by officers from the Xinhong Road Police Station in Chengdu City. The officers also searched her home. Ms. Wu was alone at home. When her children got off work, they started looking for her. When they learned that their mother had been taken away, they went to the police station asking for her release. The officers yelled at them. Ms. Wu Weixiu's whereabouts remain unknown.
7. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Mr. Wu Haibo Arrested
Mr. Wu Haibo, 45, a college graduate, was an employee at the Supplementary Dissolution Factory in Zhanjiang City. In 2001, he was unlawfully sentenced to two years of forced labor for practicing Falun Dafa and dismissed from his job. He was unable to find a job during past few years and had to raise pigs at his mother-in-law's home.
On April 17, 2007, Chen Riqing (male) of the Xiashan Police Department in Zhanjiang City led a group of officers to Mr. Wu's mother-in-law's home. The officers searched the place, took over 1,000 yuan in cash, and forcibly took Mr. Wu into custody. Mr. Wu Haibo is being unlawfully held at the Xiashan Detention Center.

8. [Liaoning Province] Brutal Acts at the Masanjia Women's Forced Labor Camp
There are over 300 people held at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province, including both Falun Gong practitioners and regular inmates. The labor camp authorities take advantage of the free labor of those held in custody. Each day, the detainees have to work from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. or midnight. Once in a while, they have to work until 1:00 a.m. or 2:00 a.m. The primary products produced here are clothes, including military uniforms, military coats, police uniforms, camouflage clothes, etc. Everyone is assigned a large quota of work. If they cannot finish their assigned workload they face extensions of their forced labor terms or physical penalties of sitting on a hard stool.

On the afternoon of May 13, 2007, practitioners Mr. Chen Jie, Ms. Xie Wenju, and Mr. Zhong Chongwen were taken into custody by the police while clarifying the truth in the Qingbaijiang area in Chengdu City. Another practitioner, Ms. Wei Denghui, managed to escape but was later captured by the police in Xindu City on May 25.

The officers took the valuables in the house, including notebook computers and printers.

She has been unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labor and taken to the No. 6 Division at the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp.

On October 13, 2005, the Wuhan City Intermediate Court in Hubei Province unlawfully sentenced practitioners from Wuhan City. Mr. Wang Baogui was sentenced to four years in prison, Mr. Ba Yali was sentenced to one and a half years in prison, and Mr. Deng Shengjie was sentenced to two years of surveillance.
20. [Jilin Province] Practitioners Mr. Wang Yancai and Ms. Liu Chunyan Sentenced to Prison
After nine months of unlawful custody at the Gongzhuling City Detention Center, practitioners Mr. Wang Yancai and Ms. Liu Chunyan were put on trial on June 11, 2007. The trial ended with no verdict, and the judge suddenly adjourned the trial. However, on July 17, the two practitioners' family members received notice that Mr. Wang Yancai had been sentenced to nine years in prison, and Ms. Liu Chunyan to seven years.

On the afternoon of July 16, 2007, the Wenling City Court unlawfully sentenced practitioners to prison. Ms. Lin Yihua was sentenced to eight years in prison, Mr. Han Ping five years, Mr. Guo Xiaobo four years, and Mr. Zhao Linbing three years (and on probation four years afterwards). Ms. Lin Yihua, Mr. Han Ping, and Mr. Guo Xiaobo have filed appeals. Ms. Lin Yihua went on hunger strike on July 16, 2007 protesting the unlawful trial and sentencing.
22. [Xuyong County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Yuling and Two Other Practitioners Taken into Custody
On July 17, 2007, practitioners Ms. Li Yuling, Ms. Li Yuzhen, and Ms. Luo Wanqun from Xuyong County went to the Dashu area to clarify the truth. A village Party official turned them in to the police. Officers from the local police station took the three practitioners into custody. Officers from the county's State Security Division led by Ma Yuliang (male) subsequently searched the practitioners' homes. They did not find anything in Ms. Li Yuling's home, but they took Falun Dafa books and MP3 players from Mr. Luo Wanqun's home. Ms. Li Yuling and Ms. Luo Wanqun were released the same day. Ms. Li Yuzhen remains in custody at a detention center.

25. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Practitioners Ms. Chen Jian and Her Mother Taken into Custody
On June 28, 2007, practitioners Ms. Jia Yihong and Ms. Chang Jinghua were taken into custody by police staked out around the Heshan area in Yiyang City. Ms. Jia is a retired teacher who received excellence awards at the Yiyang City Advanced Technical School. Ms. Chang is married to one of the school's faculty members. They are being held at the Yiyang No. 2 Detention Center in Hunan Province. Under intense pressure, Ms. Chang Jinghua revealed that Ms. Chen Jian downloaded materials at an Internet Cafe for her. Ms. Chen Jian, 24, works in a temporary printing position at the technical school. At around 4:00 p.m. on June 29, 2007, Ms. Chen was taken away from work by members of the Chaoyang District 610 Office and officers from the Chaoyang District Police Department in Yiyang City. On July 3, she was taken to the Yiyang City No. 2 Detention Center. On the afternoon of July 14, the 610 Office forcibly took Ms. Chen's mother, practitioner Ms. Lu Dongyuan, to a brainwashing center.

On July 10, 2007, several police officers from the Duchang County Police Department arrived at practitioner Ms. Hu Huoying's home. They were to search Ms. Hu's home. Ms. Hu stopped them outside her door and sternly questioned them. The police gave up their attempt to search the home.
28. [Beijing] Practitioners Ms. Wang Fang and Ms. Sun Xiuying Taken into Custody
Ms. Wang Fang is a practitioner from Dongyantou Village in Mulin Town, Shunyi District, Beijing. Recently, plainclothes police staked out at her home took her into custody when she returned home. At around noon on July 18, 2007, plainclothes officers from the 610 Office, officers from the Mulin Town Police Station, and Village Security Director Xu Guilai (male) forcibly took practitioner Ms. Sun Xiuying into custody. They searched Ms. Sun's home in the afternoon, and confiscated a computer, an HP printer, two Falun Dafa books, and other valuables. People last saw Ms. Sun when she was taken away at around 5:00 p.m. Her whereabouts remain unknown.

29. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Yang Congmei Released After Being Tortured to the Verge of Death - She Remains Under Surveillance
On the afternoon of July 17, 2007, in fear of being held responsible, the Xindu Police Department, the State Security Division, and the Sanhechang Police Station took Ms. Yang Congmei back to her mother's home in No. 5 Division of Xinmin Town when she was on the verge of death. The police ordered local officials and hired hands to be stationed in the yard to prevent Ms. Yang from stepping out of her mother's home. Ms. Yang Congmei remains on hunger strike protesting the persecution.
30. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Police Extort Cash from Practitioners Ms. Hu and Ms. Li Yuechun
Officers from the Hongqilou Police Station arrested practitioners Ms. Hu and Ms. Li Yuechun, who were clarifying the truth in public. The police extorted cash and unlawfully held Ms. Li in the Shisanli area of Zhangjiakou City.
On the morning of July 14, 2007, young practitioner Ms. Hu, who lives in the family quarters of the Hongqilou Electric and Machinery Company in Zhangjiakou City, and practitioner Ms. Li Yuechun, who lives at the family quarters of an oil company, went out to clarify the truth. They first talked to a person dressed in farmer's clothes, who decided to quit the Chinese Communist Party and asked for a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Ms. Hu and Ms. Li then proceeded to clarify truth to others. A police car followed them and they were later forcibly taken to the police station. The police coerced the two practitioners to admit that they clarified the truth to the person who was in farmer's clothing and gave the person a copy of the Nine Commentaries.
Ms. Hu was released the same afternoon after being extorted of 1,000 yuan, since her husband was sick and bedridden. Ms. Li Yuechun was unlawfully taken into custody in the Shisanli area of Zhangjiakou City.

At around 6:00 p.m. on July 16, 2007, Yang Yugang (male) and other officers from Zhuozhou City forced their way into practitioner Ms. Xie Haiying's home. They arrested Ms. Xie and Ms. Wang Yaling, who happened to be visiting Ms. Xie. The police took Falun Dafa books and other items. The whereabouts of Ms. Xie and Ms. Wang remain unknown.

It has been reported that practitioners unlawfully held at the Dalian Prison in Liaoning Province have all been transferred to the Fushun Prison.
In early July 2007, other people held at the Dalian Forced Labor Camp, in the jurisdiction of Zhoushuizi Neighborhood Administration in Ganjingzi District, Dalian City, were all transferred to a new location in the Nanguanling area of Ganjingzi District.

On July 13, 2007, Ms. Chi Guiling, a practitioner from Guandao Town in Xixia City, Shandong Province, went to visit her younger sister in Biguo Town, Zhaoyuan City. Officers from the Luoshan Town Police Station in Zhaoyuan City unlawfully took Ms. Chi into custody.

Authorities at the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Daxing District, Beijing are still attempting to brainwash practitioners. They have placed those who remain firm in their belief under "intense supervision." Some have been denied visitation from their family members. Practitioners have been forced to engage in slave labor packaging sugar. Older practitioners in their sixties have also been forced to handle the same heavy workload.

Ms. Ye Sijing and Ms. Cui Jinlian are in custody at the Changsha City Detention Center. The whereabouts of another practitioner with the last name Mei (gender unknown) are not known.

On the morning of July 13, 2007, practitioner Mr. Meng Qingbo from Lishu County in Jilin Province went to visit practitioner Ms. Liu Bo at her home in Siping City. Officers from the Beimen Street Police Station unlawfully took Ms. Liu and Mr. Meng into custody. Ms. Liu Bo works at the Lianhe Chemical Factory in Siping City. She lives on the fifth floor of one of the chemical factory's family quarters buildings in Tiedong District, Siping Province.
At around 10:00 a.m. on July 13, 2007, Mr. Xu Guodong, a practitioner in his sixties, was taken into custody at home by officers from the Beishichang Street Station in Tiedong District, Siping City. Mr. Xu is being held at the Siping City Detention Center. The police confiscated banners and Falun Dafa books from his home. Mr. Xu is a retired employee of the Siping Wire and Equipment Factory. He was twice unlawfully sent to a forced labor camp. He was released from his second forced labor term only when his life was in imminent danger.
On July 13, a female practitioner and her husband were taken into custody from their home near the Sidaokou area in Tiexi District, Siping City.
It has been reported that a practitioner (gender unknown) who works in the tax department in Tiexi District was also taken into custody around July 13.

On May 19, 2007, Xu Qiuping (female) and other officers from the 610 Office of Wugang City Police Department in Pingdingshan City broke into practitioner Mr. Zhang Rui's home. The officers searched his home and took him to the State Security Division of the Wugang City Police Department where he was held for two days. A week later, the officers again took Mr. Zhang from his home to the police department.
On March 15, the police had searched practitioner Ms. Ma Shuying's home, but on May 20, Xu Qiuping unlawfully searched her home again. Xu Qiuping coerced Ms. Xu, who was working at school supervising an ongoing examination, and forcibly took her to the city's police department for interrogation.

At around 11:00 a.m. on July 9, 2007, over twenty officers from the Laixi City 610 Office arrived at practitioner Ms. Liu Zhonghua's home in Hujiadu Village in Rizhuang Town, Laixi City. They broke into the home, forcibly took Ms. Liu and her husband Mr. Hu Zhenshan into custody, and confiscated a satellite dish and other personal property. Ms. Liu Zhonghua is being unlawfully held at the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City.

On the afternoon of July 16, 2007, members of the Xushui County 610 Office, officers from the county police department, and officials from the Ansu Town government arrived at Nanguzhuangying Village. They took practitioner Ms. Feng Jixiu into custody, unlawfully searched her home, and confiscated a satellite antenna, a personal computer used by her son for schoolwork, and other personal items. Ms. Feng is being held at the Xushui County Detention Center.

On July 14, 2007, practitioner Ms. Liang Hongling was returning home from work. About six officers from the Haiyang City Police Department staked out near her building rushed out and held her to the ground. The officers handcuffed her and took her away. Ms. Liang's husband passed away only six months ago. Her teenage daughter, who is in school, has been left unattended.
