The Responsibility of Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples is to Save Sentient Beings

(Clearwisdom.net) In early August, I went with fellow Falun Dafa practitioners to participate in Fa-validating events in London and Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. During these events, I gradually understood that the purpose of the lives of Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples is to save sentient beings.

The European Divine Land Band is maturing. It has received the people's attention wherever it has visited since its debut in Paris on January 1, 2007. The moment the band appeared in London's Chinatown, many Chinese were completely astonished. During the entire parade, the audience clapped to the rhythm of our music.

However, it was quite challenging for the Divine Land Band members to participate in each Fa-validating event. Our fellow practitioners need to let go of more of their attachments and do better at breaking the old forces' arrangements in order to do better at presenting the truly wonderful side of Falun Dafa to the world's people.

For example, some practitioners' visa applications were denied when they tried to enter the United Kingdom to participate in the Fa-rectification activities. They continuously sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil interference. Their firm belief in Teacher and the Fa moved the gods in Heaven. As a result, they were able to overcome the old forces' barrier and arrived in the United Kingdom on the last day of the event. Practitioners in the United Kingdom also tried their best to cherish this opportunity. Their application for the parade in Chinatown was hindered by the the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s strong interference. The duration of the parade permit was cut short from an hour to a half hour, then to fifteen minutes. Then, the parade permit was entirely revoked. At that point, one practitioner had a righteous thought, "We are coming for the Fa and for sentient beings. We are a group of people walking on a divine path. How can we accept the arrangements by the old forces and the CCP? How can we let others lead us on our divine path?"

With that pure thought, the old forces were unable stop the manifestation of the wonder of Falun Dafa in the human world. Even the police officers were moved and helped us to keep the streets in order. Many practitioners were very strict with their words and actions throughout the event, presenting their best side to the people. Though it was cold and rainy, they did not show any suffering on their faces during their performance. Instead, in their hearts they held only benevolence and the thought of saving sentient beings.

I am a person who does not like to attend public events. I realized my selfishness from participating in this event. At first, I thought that it would cost me money and time to participate and that I should just stay at home to validate the Fa. Later, I found my gap after seeing how other practitioners overcame so many hurdles to step out to validate the Fa.

I was blocked by my human notions. Our lives exist for the Fa. Our mission is to help present the truth of the universe's Fa to the human world. How can I be stopped from validating the Fa by concerns over money and time?

I had a dream a year ago. In my dream I had a strong headache, and I was rolling on the ground because the pain was so severe. Then I heard a voice that told me, "Jump into your head." I shrank down to a smaller size and jumped into my head. My head then became bigger and bigger. Eventually it became the Earth. The inflamed area was China; the evil tumor of the Communist Party kept growing. In my dream, the poison of the tumor gradually spread to the whole world. There were also practitioners and other people there. Some practitioners were busy saving others by clarifying the truth to people about the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The people who listened and believed practitioners climbed up the ladder to Heaven. Those who did not accept the facts were engulfed by the poison of the tumor. The tumor continued growing and covered the entire Earth. It seduced people with money, sex, false religions, poisonous merchandise, modern culture and the fake promise of material success in China. At last, the Earth became so rotten that it could not be saved anymore. Since it had deviated from the universe's characteristic of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance, the factor that had once given earth its stability, it derailed and disappeared into a big black hole in the universe. The lucky ones who had climbed up the ladder to Heaven watched the destruction of the Earth from a safe place.

In my dream, Teacher showed me the importance of saving sentient beings, but I didn't understand it right away. Instead, I used the excuse that I obtained the Fa late, so the job of saving people should be handled by veteran practitioners. What a selfish heart! I only wanted to receive from Dafa but did not want to give. Actually, personal Consummation is not important. "The master leads you through the door, but cultivation is up to you." ( "Spirit Possession," Lecture Three in Zhuan Falun) What is important is how many human notions we remove and how much of the CCP's Party culture we eliminate when we go out to validate the Fa.

When our Falun Gong band appeared on the streets of Edinburgh, people clapped and danced to our music. Seeing them eagerly waiting for the celestial music, I realized that I could not let go of any opportunity to save people. I should present the divine side that I have cultivated well to the sentient beings. Suddenly I realized that my existence was for presenting the wonderfulness of the universe's Dafa to the world. All of my exhaustion and attachments disappeared. With a benevolent smile, I waved to the sentient beings, and tears trickled down my face. How wonderful it would be if we all started from ourselves, reviewed our improper behavior and attachments, and embraced the principles of Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance as our moral standards! Immediately, after I realized the urgency of saving sentient beings, I felt that I was melting into the energy field of the music. All I could see and feel was the singing and cheering of the awakened beings, a growing energy field, and the celestial music filling the entire universe.

At that point I understood Teacher's words in His new teaching, "Fa Teaching at the U.S. Capital:"

"[They believed that] the Fa could definitely save them, that Dafa would definitely succeed (enthusiastic applause), and that Fa-rectification would definitely succeed, and it was thus that they had the godly courage to come to the human world. I'm not talking about Dafa disciples or students who obtained the Fa at different times, but rather the human race's overall situation right now. Many beings and many things in human society have changed. With such beings before us, we must act, we must save them."

As Dafa disciples in the Fa-Rectification period, the true value of our lives is to save sentient beings. Only when we realize this can we tirelessly tell every person with a predestined relationship with us the wonder of Dafa and the benefits Dafa brings to the world, assimilate ourselves into the Fa, and save sentient beings. Then we can find that our lives are ascending, and we will reach the benevolent level of selflessness and altruism.

After some hesitation I wrote this article. I feel that I am still at a low level, so please point out my gaps.
