Husband and Daughter of Ms. Gao Baoju Abused While Trying to Visit Her in Detention Center

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 9, 2007, Liu Weidong, Li Fang, and Liu Xinjian, three male officers of the State Security Division in Mancheng County Police Department, took Ms. Gao Baoju, a Falun Gong practitioner from Mancheng County, Baoding City, into custody from her own factory. After that, her family repeatedly requested to visit her but were denied. The whole family was impatient to see her. He Jia, Ms. Gao's daughter, was due to attend a new school soon and was extremely anxious about her mother's safety.

On August 22, He Jia and her father, He Qun, went to the detention center to visit her mother. Ms. He asked Jia Ruiqin, the female deputy director, to allow them to see her mother. Jia Ruiqin growled, "So you are Gao Baoju's daughter. Pay 10 yuan first, then you can see your mother." He Jia replied, "After I pay, will I see her in person or just through the TV?" Jia Ruiqin said, "How could you imagine that you would see her in person after paying only 10 yuan?" Ms. He replied, "I do not have the money on me." Jia Ruiqin responded, "It is impossible to see her without money." Jia Ruiqin then swore at her.

He Jia said, "How can you talk to me this way?" While raising her hand to strike He Jia, Jia Ruiqin clamored, "So what?" He Jia said, "How dare you hit me!?" Jia Ruiqin seized He Jia's arms and tried to push her down the stairs. He Jia instinctively resisted, seizing Jia Ruiqin's collar. Jia Ruiqin could not maintain her balance and stumbled, falling down the stairs. Officers of the Chengguan Police Station took He Jia and He Qun into custody. After their relatives made many efforts, they were released four days later.

Jia Ruiqin has been extensively involved in the persecution of practitioners. She is directly responsible for the disability of many practitioners and the deaths of two practitioners in Mancheng County. She has also hit and verbally abused the family members of practitioners. The detention centers and police stations joined forces and have left the common people no place to appeal. The evildoers never abide by the law when dealing with practitioners.
