The Metallurgical Institute of Fujian Province Uses Its Annual Performance Review to Intimidate Falun Dafa Practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) At the direction of the local 610 Office, the Metallurgical Institute of Fujian Province has been using its annual performance review process to intimidate Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Ping.

In 2006, the institutes's management used Ms. Wang's performance review in an attempt to coerce her into writing a "repentance letter", as well as a letter guaranteeing that she would no longer practice Falun Gong. She was told that if she did not do so, she would receive an unsatisfactory performance rating. Ms. Wang refused to comply with such an unreasonable demand. In response, her manager revoked her eligibility for a salary increase.

During the past six years, the institutes's management has refused to give Ms. Wang a satisfactory performance rating because she practiced Falun Gong. They labeled her as being "politically unqualified." As a result, she lost six years of seniority, her salary was lowered by several grades, and she became ineligible for promotion to senior positions.

Although she has been treated so unfairly, Ms. Wang remains kind and peaceful and continues to work hard. Her work unit cannot deny that her work performance is excellent and that she is kind to others. However, because of pressure from the 610 Office, her work unit continues to mistreat her, using the "politically unqualified" label as an excuse to halt her career development.
