By a Falun Gong Practitioner in Gansu Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) Once a person has true faith in his heart, he will be steadfast.

I used to be shy, weak and cowardly. After I started to practice Falun Gong in April 1997, I continuously assimilated to the Fa. I tried very hard to get rid of my human attachments and mentality. I refused to be trapped within the framework the old forces had arranged. When the persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999, the persecutors took me away and detained me for two months because I exposed the evil deeds of the local lawless officials.

Later on I maintained my righteous thoughts. I persisted in Fa-study and assigned myself truth-clarification tasks every day. Even if I were to distribute only one truth-clarification flyer, I would persist in doing so. After doing this for a period of time, my righteous thoughts grew stronger and my courage increased. I had the courage to clarify the facts to others in public places. In the earlier half of 2004, I bought a computer, a motorbike and other equipment and acted on my own initiative to clarify the truth. My courage grew day by day. I understood more deeply Master's words,

"Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master" (Zhuan Falun)

The Buddha law is immensely profound. As long as we persist in Fa study and cultivation, Master will automatically get rid of the elements that made us have fear, our attachment to fear and other elements behind these attachments.

Last year I tried to find a way to access the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. I had a sudden inspiration and a new understanding of the words,

"Gods walk the earth, validating the Fa." ("What's There to Fear" Hong Yin II)

I thought Master had saved us and rejuvenated us to be bright and shining enlightened beings. How could we be afraid of these low level, evil rotten ghosts? Although we are in the human world and use the ways and means of ordinary society to clarify the truth, our mentality should be like those of enlightened beings. We should be in the state of an enlightened being. With thoughts, behavior and actions aligned with the state of an enlightened being, we will find it easy and fulfilling to clarify the truth and offer salvation to sentient beings.

When I go out to distribute truth-clarification materials, I feel that Master's Fashen (law body) is right above my head. I imagine that I am like the sun, moving around the ground. The black hands and rotten ghosts disappear, and the people dare not look straight at me. I feel carefree and easy. Once I select a specific place I distribute the materials, and nothing goes wrong. As I distributed materials in the streets one day, a farm vehicle rushed across my line of vision. I immediately thought: Stop! I want to put truth-clarification materials in the vehicle. That vehicle seemed to be very obedient. It stopped right in the middle of the street, and I put the materials in the vehicle. Then the vehicle drove off.

Last week, a relative's grown child managed to enroll in a prestigious university. I was asked to give a congratulatory speech during a celebration. I thought this must be an opportunity Master has arranged for me to explain the truth. Thus I agreed immediately. The celebration that day was grand; two hundred and sixty guests were invited. I was filled with righteous thoughts and my speech impressed and encouraged the audience. At the conclusion of my talk I urged all prospective undergraduates to do be good persons by adhering to the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The audience appeared happy. Then I spoke separately and in detail to many people. Twenty-eight people that I talked to chose to renounce their memberships to the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. One secondary school teacher reminded me before she went home, "My family is depending on you [to help us quit the Party]!" I could tell from this event that the sentient beings are all waiting to be rescued. As long as we take the righteous path, the people will eagerly listen to the truth about Falun Gong.

Whatever it is - as long as we are steadfast and have faith in Master and Dafa, are diligent in our cultivation, even as persons whose foundations are less than perfect, we will eventually be able to reach the state of an enlightened being. During this last period of Fa-rectification of helping Master, offering salvation to sentient beings becomes an important task. We should immediately let go of our personal thoughts and with the compassion of an enlightened being, with the urgency of extinguishing a fire, quickly save the sentient beings and fulfill our prehistoric vows!
