Practitioner Chen Yanxiu Arrested from Songzao Coal Mine, Qijiang County, Chongqing City

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of August 30, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Yanxiu from Songzao Coal Mine of Qijiang County, Chongqing City, was arrested by several police and guards from the Anwen Town Police Station and the Songzao Coal Mine Security Department. At the time, they showed a warrant for administrative detention dated August 20^th, and asked Ms. Chen's family to sign it. Ms Chen's family refused and said, "It's illegal to do it this way."

Ms. Chen Yanxiu was illegally detained in the Qijiang County Detention Center. The detention warrant said she "talked about quitting the CCP [Chinese Communist Party] in March of this this year, and had a big impact [on people]. Therefore she's been given 15 days of administrative detention."

Ms. Chen Yanxiu is 51 years old. She started practicing Falun Dafa in August of 1996. Since she started practicing Dafa, she has been cherishing the Fa and firmly believes in Master and Dafa. During her 11 years of cultivation Ms. Chen has been practicing according to the requirements of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance." She sets a high standard for herself, always helps other people and treats others kindly. On July 20^th, 1999, Jiang's regime started the massive persecution. Ms. Chen Yanxiu was an employee of the Songzao Coal Mine Employee Hospital. The Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the mine and the mine hospital, along with the director of the mine hospital, tried to force her to give up practicing Falun Dafa. However, she did not give up practicing even after she was illegally fired.

In October 2001, Ms. Chen Yanxiu and her former co-worker, Lei Zhihua who was also fired for practicing Falun Gong, went to the coal mine to clarify the truth to the Secretary of the Communist Committee, Wu Ju, who is now retired. They talked about Falun Gong and explained that it's wrong that Jiang's regime utilized the Communist Party to persecute Falun Gong and that it's wrong to fire an employee just because an employee practices Falun Gong. They demanded to get their jobs back. Not only did the Communist Party Committee Secretary fail to resolve their problems, but he lied to the Qijiang County Police Station saying, "There are 300 to 400 Falun Gong practitioners attacking us." The next day, several police cars were sent out. They found that the situation was false when they arrived, but they didn't want to go back with nothing achieved. Therefore, they arrested Chen Yanxiu, Lei Zhihua and Zheng Xueyao and other practitioners, and sent them to a forced labor camp for one year in November, 2001.

When she got out, Ms. Chen Yanxiu continued to expose the evil persecution. In March 2007, she clarified the truth to a driver when she was handling some personal matters in Anwen Town. The driver immediately called the Anwen Police. Two policemen immediately came and arrested Ms. Chen and took her to the police station. The associate director, Gong Zekai, confiscated two MP3 players that she carried but gave her no receipt. There, Ms. Chen Yanxiu clarified the truth to the police saying, "Heaven is destroying the CCP; quit the CCP to protect yourself." Not only did they refuse to listen, but they persecuted her more intensely.
