By a practitioner in the UK

Greetings, Master. Greetings, fellow practitioners,

I would like to share with you my experiences on how to do the three things well after I came to the UK. If there is anything that is inappropriate, please kindly point it out.

I am a veteran practitioner. Since obtaining the Fa in early 1994, I have never stopped studying the Fa, doing the exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts - no matter what kind of circumstances I faced. After July 20, 1999, when the evil was rampant, in order not to be disturbed by the slander on TV or by my family members, I got up very early to do exercises at my office, and after everyone left the office in the afternoon I would not leave until I finished Fa study. After that, no matter whether I was homeless or detained, I never stopped doing the exercises, studying the Fa and doing the three things. My righteous thoughts toward cultivation have never moved. Under the persecution in China, every time before I left to distribute material or when I was distributing material, I often recited poems from Master's "Hong Yin" II.

Because of my righteous thoughts and righteous actions, I survived the persecution in China under Master's protection.

When my cousin invited me to look after her baby for her, I realized that if I could get my visa successfully, it would mean Master had arranged this path for me. After coming to the UK, my circumstances changed; I could not get used to the new environment and my righteous thoughts weakened. I did not realize in time how the evil in other dimensions were persecuting me in this new environment. When my cousin did not allow me to do this, nor allow me to do that, or lost her temper with me, I felt grieved. When they did not understand the Fa and argued against me, I always tried to find out their problems and all the human sentiment came out. At the beginning I could endure on the surface, but I did not let it go in my heart. I did not follow what Master said:

"A benevolent person always has a heart of compassion. With no discontentment or hatred, he takes hardship as joy." (from "Realms" in Essentials for Further Advancement)

I did not achieve this and did not let it go. Doesn't that mean I was an ordinary person? I felt my life here was hard, which directly affected my efforts in saving sentient beings. At first, family members of my cousin did not want to quit the evil Communist party. In the process of my asylum seeking, my righteous thoughts of saving people weakened. In my appeal, my righteous thoughts were not very strong and I did not place myself in the proper place in relation to Dafa, therefore the judge refused my appeal. This brought difficulties and trouble to me and other practitioners. Like Master said, our cultivation path is quite narrow. Once our thoughts are not righteous enough, we will fall.

In this situation, as a veteran practitioner, I should be stricter with myself and not treat anything lightly. Each human notion is a mountain on our cultivation path, yet once we can lay it down, it turns out to be nothing. When my righteous thoughts became strong, the capacity of my heart became bigger. I determined to make up for the things I did not do well. After moving out of my cousin's home, every time she asked for my help, I would do it gladly and explain the truth to her with compassion. At last, she denounced the evil CCP organizations.

In the face of difficulties, I was not scared. In Master's Article, "Also in a Few Words," Master said:

"Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos's Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, diamond-like bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is. Dafa disciples are truly stepping forward out of ordinary humanness." ("Also in a Few Words")

I wanted to be a compassionate Dafa disciple and would not allow any evil to interfere with my doing the "three things," assisting Master and fulfilling my prehistoric vow.

In 2006, Master's article, "For the Good of the World" was published. At this point my pace of saving sentient beings became quicker. No matter whether it was windy or rainy, I walked through all the streets and lanes in the city center. The coach station, train station and shops were the places I visited most. When I met Chinese people, I would approach them and give them a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. If they wanted to talk to me, I would urge them to denounce the party. In this way, I could give out a few copies of the Nine Commentaries every day, and one day I gave out more than forty copies. Every week, a few people would make a denouncement. Over three hundred people have made denouncements since I started to do street promotions and make phone calls to China, and more than one thousand copies of Nine Commentaries were given out on the street. There is still a distance between this number and the number of Chinese living in Cambridge. I will continue as Master said to, "Lose no time and save them, hurry up and tell them." (from Master's article "Hurry Up and Tell Them" )

Cambridge is a tourist attraction due to being the hometown of a world famous university. There are many Chinese tourists. Most of the people in tourist groups are cadres of the evil party, and among Chinese students, many of them are from cadre or business men's families. They belong to vested interest groups and it is not easy to clarify the truth to them. Often, when they saw our poster they became agitated and the evil specter inside them became active. When I told the truth to students, they were very resistant: some of them abused me, some glared at me, some kicked our posters. They would say whatever bad words they knew to me. If I did not have enough righteous thoughts, my fear of difficulty would come out.

Faced with this situation, I realized that the process of clarifying the truth was part of cultivation. In Zhuan Falun, Master said, "We'd say that a good or bad outcome comes from one thought." In Hong Ying Volume II, Master said: "if thoughts are righteous, evil will collapse." No matter what kind of reaction they had -- first of all, they are the sentient beings we Dafa disciples should save and the evil behind them is nothing in the face of righteous Dafa disciples. As long as we have the compassion to save them, all kinds of problems can be solved. When I saw a tourist group coming, I would first send out strong righteous thoughts to clear away all the evils and evil specter factors stopping them from being saved. In the process of clarifying the truth, I would keep a compassionate heart all the time, as a peaceful state of mind is very important.

When those students passed by me, I would first tell them they should know more truth now that they came out of China. I told them Heaven was going to eliminate the CCP soon, and only when they withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations could they save their life and have security and safety. The history they learned in China is full of lies and they should read more and listen more. Sometimes, their teachers wanted to stop me. I then told them kind-heartedly that everyone has the right to know the truth, and this is a country where freedom is respected. I also expressed my hope that the teacher could also choose a bright future and not be associated with the evil. Every day I would clarify the truth in different ways to different people. After they knew the truth, they would want to quit the party or know more. When students came in small groups in the afternoon, I would tell them why the party was persecuting Falun Gong and the history of the evil party. Many students came up and asked me why we burned ourselves. I knew that was the result of the party's lies about Falun Gong deceiving them, so I gave them materials explaining the facts about the government staged self immolation on Tiananmen Square and my own observation of the situation in Tiananmen Square during the Chinese New Year in 2001. Most of them knew the truth but some of them did not want to make a denouncement. I was not anxious to urge them; I would tell them to think about it, and if they have the chance, to make sure to withdraw from the party.

When clarifying the truth to students, I know I should always keep my heart unmoved. One student would always ask a question, but then keep his distance from me and attack me with ferocious words. I said, "I do not hate you," and then told him with a smile that the party's end is coming, not to be decided by me, rather it is God's will. I reminded him that good will be rewarded while the bad will be punished according to heavenly justice. We are doing good things. He said it seems all people with belief are like this.

Some students told me before they left, "I did not make a denouncement, but I heard what you said and I know that the party is really corrupt, so I am against the party, and if there is any chance I will overthrow it." I then told them that only after they make the denouncement would they secure their life. They nodded and waved goodbye at me and thanked me.

Once some students from Beijing said they felt very comfortable with me as soon as I started talking to them, so we started chatting very naturally. One of them said when she was in Beijing her teacher told her what Falun Gong practitioners said was true. So with other practitioners' cooperation, all of the six students quit the Communist Youth League.

In the last two months, many Chinese students came to my city and I helped more than forty of them make denouncements against the Party. As long as they passed by, I would let them know the information about quitting the CCP in order to lay a foundation for them to be saved in the future.

Most of the members of the tourist groups visiting Cambridge looked at me in a very unfriendly way or looked at the other side of the street and ignored me. When I told them the truth, they became furious, shook their heads and hands, or called me names and asked me to go away. In the beginning I followed what they said and replied that it is not me who brought shame to China, the wicked party is killing innocent people and it brings shame to China. In this way, our talk would become an argument due to my heart being moved by them.

We Dafa disciples should treat every sentient being in a kind way. Our aim is to save others, not to judge whether you are wrong or I am right. In this kind of situation, no matter what kind of reaction they had, or how dirty their words were, I just ignored them, sent out the message of truth to them and told them that good will be rewarded while bad will be punished. Every time they walked past me, I would tell them so. I solved their evilness with my compassion and cleared out the factors behind them with my righteous thoughts.

In my truth clarification, I also kept telling people the significance of denouncing the party. At last some people accepted the Nine Commentaries and our newspaper. After the group left some people came back to ask for more Nine Commentaries and a newspaper. When their free time started, I would take the chance to tell them, in order to secure a bright future, not to get involved with the party. Only by making a denouncement could they secure their life. It was decided by heaven to eliminate the party, an irretrievable fact that has nothing to do with religion or politics. I told them that as long as they agreed and nodded their head, I could make up an alias for them. The people who agreed to make denouncements all believed that "there are deities a yard above your head." So I would talk more with them and they would nod their heads with a smile. Only when we treat them with compassion could they be moved. I would try to find out where they were from and then make up an alias for them with the name of their home town so that their aliases would not be repeated.

The Chinese tourist guides sometimes played a bad role and some of them stopped me from giving truth telling material to tourists. I then clarified the truth to them with a smile or tried to start small talk with them. All I did was with the purpose of saving them. Once a tourist guide said in a very unfriendly attitude, "Why am I meeting you again?" I then told him with a smile, "That's because we have a predestined relationship." When I gave out material to tourists, he did not stop me. When their free time came, he walked back and I started to clarify the truth to him. He said he quit the party ages ago and did not listen to me at all. When tourists wanted to have some western food, he did not know where to find a restaurant and asked me. I asked my friend and told him the location. I then took the chance to urge him to make a denouncement. The compassion endowed by Dafa moved him and he said loudly, "I will not only quit the Youth League and Young Pioneers, but also the Party."

I could often hear some Chinese tourists say, "I have read the 'Nine Commentaries' or 'I have read this issue of the Epoch Times, do you have the latest one?" Those who said so were friendly with a smile on their face. I then would tell them with compassion that the purpose of reading the Nine Commentaries and knowing the truth was to withdraw from the evil organizations and to choose a future for yourself. Most of these kind of people would nod and agree to make a denouncement. I realized that these people being saved was closely related to Dafa practitioners' efforts of spreading the Nine Commentaries and the Epoch Times and clarifying the truth in other regions. Some Chinese tourists who made denouncements in my city are from Mainland China, London or the US. That is the result of Dafa practitioners' cooperation as one body.

I would like to give you another example. On August 18, the cooperation among Cambridge practitioners was very good. We were all trying to clarify the truth to tourists wholeheartedly while handing out materials. On that day, there were so many Chinese tourists and wherever we needed someone to send forth righteous thoughts to assist, some practitioners would do so spontaneously. Besides that, from 10 a.m. practitioners started to broadcast the Solemn Declaration of the Epoch Times and other materials about quitting the CCP. Chinese people passing by listened to us. Our broadcast effectively cleared the evil in another dimensions and the evil was eliminated so no Chinese said anything bad on that day. Twenty-six people made denouncements on the spot. More people accepted the Nine Commentaries and truth-clarifying material, which laid a good foundation for them to withdraw from the CCP in the future.

My experiences in urging Chinese people to withdraw from the CCP is to treat every sentient being with tolerance and compassion, and if he has the predestined relationship with me and meets me, I strengthen my righteous thoughts and urge him or her to quit. I try to save every one of them and relieve other practitioners' burdens so that I will not feel regret in the future. This is my holy mission.

Only when we are not attached to whether a sentient being would like to make a denouncement on the spot or not and not be moved by their attitudes, can we save more sentient beings.

I hope that all the practitioners, veteran or new, can form a huge compassionate field and save more sentient beings.
