Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center in Hubei Province is a Dark Den for Persecuting Practitioners (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center is located in a remote area of Hankou Town, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, close to the Yangtze River. It was previously the Primary School Affiliated with the Smelting Plant. In 2003, it was changed over to a facility where Falun Gong practitioners are brainwashed and tortured.

Hu, Shaobin (male), head of the center, violently beats practitioners. Several days ago, he force-fed practitioner Ms. Wu Bilin with vinegar and chili water. She was holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution. He forces practitioners to watch DVDs that slander Falun Gong, and to write a "review" after watching.

At midnight on December 1, 2005, Ms. Wu Hongbin, a practitioner from Chenjiaji, was detained in the brainwashing center. The next day, she disappeared. The Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center is a two-story building. The second story is surrounded by a thick iron fence. The surrounding wall is as high as two meters, with a one meter high wire fence on top. According to practitioners who were once detained and mistreated there, the practitioners are detained on the second story. The first story is a place for mistreating practitioners. Some rooms in the first story are dark and damp throughout the year. Steadfast practitioners are forced to stand in these rooms for several days and nights and are deprived of sleep. All kinds of evil means are used to mistreat practitioners here, including beatings, abuse, coercion, and threats. Mr. Zhang Weijie, who is detained and mistreated there, told his family members who came to visit him, "This is not a place for humans." However, residents who live near this dark den are completely unaware of the truth.

These photos were taken on August 30, 2007. From the photo we can see that the upper part of the building was painted white, and the bottom third was painted green. The painting of the surrounding wall was not finished. After the brainwashing center was spruced up, it took on an entirely new look to people unaware of its actual use. Yet inside the building, the cruel farce of mistreating kindhearted people is being conducted.
