Deputy of Jiamusi City Prison Rewards Guards Who Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) Liu Changyu, the Deputy of Jiamusi City Prison in Heilongjiang Province, is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners there. In order to get a high "transformation" rate, he announced during a prison guard meeting that guards would get an award of 1,000 yuan for "transforming" a practitioner. He awarded 1,000 yuan to guard Xia Yandong in the meeting. To earn the so-called award, prison guards have brutally persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners Lu Zhengyi, Liu Zhenchang and Wang Lansheng are currently suffering inhumane treatment in Jiamusi Prison.

Practitioner Liu Zhenchang is detained in the No.1 Section of No.1 Ward. In order to get back the materials taken away from him, he has been on a hunger strike for a month and is currently in the prison hospital. During Liu Zhenchang's hunger strike, Cao Zhipeng, the head of the No. 1 Section, and Su Jiafeng, brutally beat him, leaving his face swollen and bruised all over.

Practitioner Wang Lansheng was originally detained in the No. 2 Section of No.1 Ward, and was later transfered to the No.1 Section of No. 4 Ward. The head of the section, Liang Zhengming, ordered Wang Lansheng to do slave labor. Mr. Wang said, "I didn't commit any crime. If you force me to work, I will start a hunger strike." That afternoon, five to six inmates punched and kicked Mr. Wang under the guards' direction, which caused a big cut on Wang Lansheng's head. He bled a lot and was sent to the clinic to get stitches. The inmates involved in the beating were not punished. The next day, the heads of the No.1 Section (Teng Shuliang and Liang Zhengming) and guards Li Zenan and Ye Xiaojun inhumanely beat Wang Lansheng again. None of them were punished for doing so. Now, the practitioners in No.1 Ward are holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Practitioner Lu Zhengyi is currently detained in No.1 Section of No.5 Ward. He is being subjected to forced brainwashing.

Practitioner Liu Jianfu is detained in the No.2 Ward. Currently, he has been put in a solitary confinement cell by Hu Wenyue because he refused to write a report of his thoughts.

Practitioner Zhang Yuezheng is detained in the No. 1 Section of No. 2 Ward. To protest the brutal forced brainwashing, he has been on hunger strike since August 13. He was put into a solitary confinement cell since September 4.

It is reported that a practitioner whose surname is Tan was injured by Han Jibo on August 7 in No. 3 Section of No. 4 Ward, because after practicing the exercises. To cover up their crimes, the guards claimed that the practitioner injured himself. Now this practitioner is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.
