An Awakened Man Writes a Poem Praising Dafa-An Episode in Front of the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco (Photo)

Falun Gong practitioners peacefully protest the persecution in front of the Chinese Consulate in Fan Francisco

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of September 17, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners distributed truth-clarification flyers in front of the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco as usual. An elderly gentleman approached the practitioners who were holding banners at around 9:35 a.m. He said he had composed a poem for Falun Gong practitioners and asked them to write it down. His poem:

"Truthful to life as saints said,

Compassionate people and compassionate deeds as common people praise.

Tolerant to humiliation while spreading the cultivation system,

Great virtue saves China."

He pointed out to the practitioners that the first words of each line were "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is great" He had wanted to say "Great virtue saves the world" in the last line but said "China" for rhyming purposes.

The gentleman told practitioners he was a reader of The Epoch Times.

Falun Gong practitioners in the Bay Area have demonstrated in front of the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco since November 2000. They have never ceased in their efforts to expose the persecution to local residents, police, and the people who go to the Chinese Consulate.

When practitioners first started their demonstrations, many people didn't know the true story of Falun Gong, mainly due to the Chinese Communist Party lies and slander. Through persistent efforts by practitioners, more and more people have begun to show sympathy, understanding and support. They give practitioners "thumbs-up," and many have told them, "Great job!"
