The Importance of Righteous Thoughts at Critical Moments

(Clearwisdom.net) Today a fellow practitioner shared several stories about asking Master to strengthen him at critical moments so that he could find safety in dangerous situations. I was deeply touched by his stories. I would like to share his experiences with others, hoping they might help those of us who do not pay enough attention to sending forth righteous thoughts.

At the beginning, he did not pay enough attention to sending forth righteous thoughts. Later on, however, one incident completely changed his understanding.

Once, on his way to delivering materials to other practitioners, he met with police who tried to arrest him. Instead of being arrested, he made use of the chance to run away and the police chased after him. He was over fifty years old, and the policemen were all in their twenties and thirties and they were getting closer and closer. The practitioner could hear the running footsteps of the police. At this very critical moment, he had righteous thoughts in his mind and asked Master to strengthen him. He recited quietly in his mind, "Master please help me, please have these policemen run out of breath so that they can not catch up with me."

After such a thought emerged in his mind, the policemen started running out of breath. They were so tired that they could hardly walk steadily, not to mention run. Finally, they were so tired that they could hardly breathe. As a result, the practitioner could run away with righteous thoughts. However, the policemen were all soaked with sweat and stumbling around, unable to keep their balance. They were asking each other, "What happened today, I can hardly run several steps before losing my breath and I cannot continue running. It is really strange that we, several young people, could not even catch up with an old man."

Another time, this fellow practitioner suddenly had acute stomach pains and was soaked with sweat. Since the room was very hot, he quietly walked by himself outside to a shady and peaceful place. He sat on the ground, tolerating all the pain. Suddenly, he became unclear in his consciousness. After that, he did not feel any pain physically, and he felt that his body ascended and flew beautifully. He felt a sense of relief, excitement and comfort as he felt his body flying up. He suddenly enlightened to the fact that this was the feeling that Master mentioned in Zhuan Falun related to the moment when a person dies. Actually, it was his primordial spirit leaving his physical body. So at this very critical moment, he asked Master to strengthen him. In his mind, with strong righteous thoughts, he denied all evil arrangements. Then, his primordial spirit came back to his physical body and he felt the pain again. Through continuously sending forth righteous thoughts, the pain eventually reduced and disappeared completely. Strengthened by Master, he passed this tribulation with righteous thoughts.

Throughout these two trials of strength between righteousness and evil, this practitioner relied on his determined belief in Master. He firmly denied the arrangements made by the old forces, which showed his solid belief in Master. This is how our righteous thoughts and righteous actions manifest. This is also a powerful way for us to eliminate all of the arrangements made by the old forces and to dismantle all evil.

I would also like to share a similar experience of mine. On one occasion, I went out of town to meet with other practitioners. Because I was unfamiliar with the area, after asking many people for directions, I still could not find the practitioner's home. It was getting dark, and I suddenly thought of Master. I asked our compassionate Master to strengthen me and dissolve all the evil elements that were stopping me from meeting the other practitioners. The moment I had that thought, I miraculously met one of the very few practitioners in the local area.

Afterwards, when I mentioned this, the practitioner pointed out to me, "From the very beginning, you should have the righteous thought to ask Master to strengthen you. This way you may have saved a lot of trouble, and you may have found another practitioner much earlier."

It is true, if we can ask for Master's help at critical moments, this is a righteous thought. If at the very critical moment, we steadfastly believe in Master and Dafa, and we have strong righteous thoughts, then we will see "...the shady willow trees, there will be bright flowers and another village ahead!"
