(Clearwisdom.net) These days, every second practitioner says that time is running out and we are running a race against time. It is true! I wish there were 49 hours in a day. When I woke up at night in the middle of winter, I felt that the night was passing very quickly. I thought, "When I wake up in the morning, it will be another day." Then another thought came to me, "If I slept a little more that night, I'd have much more to do the next day." My schedule sometimes becomes even tighter because of the regular household chores and other incidentals that might come my way. I am often asked, "Why are you so busy?"
Time is a divine being. A cultivator's time should be fully utilized, especially the time of practitioners that have traveled this far with Teacher. When there isn't enough time, we need to budget our time and do things in order of importance instead of chitchatting. This includes studying the Fa, practicing the Falun Gong exercises, cultivating our xinxing, and doing the three things.
Besides practicing the exercises, I study four or more lectures of Zhuan Falun daily. I started with one lecture a day in 1997. Shortly before July 20, 1999, I advanced to two lectures a day. Although I had studied Zhuan Falun so many times, I was shocked to discover while I was illegally imprisoned after 1999 that I could not even remember Zhuan Falun's table of contents. After I was released, I started studying three lectures a day. When I was released from a forced labor camp in November 2002, I started to study four lectures daily. Meanwhile, my husband and I transcribed Teacher's articles and Zhuan Falun once and memorized Zhuan Falun.
One day I discovered that I had managed to do the three things well while balancing my time to study the Fa, practice the exercises, do the housework, and take care of daily affairs. When I go out, I tend to meet a lot of predestined people who gladly accept Falun Gong truth-clarification materials, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and even Zhuan Falun. They will be saved because they have learned and accepted the truth about Falun Gong. I am merely doing what Teacher expects of us. I clarify the truth about Falun Gong to everyone. At first, I was irritated by people who monitored me day-in and day-out, but Teacher has taught me to be compassionate towards everyone. I clarify the truth to every new individual that has been assigned to monitor me and by now there have been several dozen. Some of them have even agreed to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its two affiliated organizations with their real names. They told me that they had never met anyone who had done a better job clarifying the truth than I and that they had learned to tell right from wrong. They told me that I was a good person. But I am merely doing what Teacher has asked of me.
There is not much time left. This means that we must study the Fa more and never neglect practicing the Falun Gong exercises. By doing so, we will naturally be able to keep up with doing the three things. There is no role model among cultivators. Each cultivator has to cultivate his/her own mind. Teacher said,
"Dafa is harmonizing all sentient beings, and all sentient beings are also harmonizing Dafa." ("Expounding on the Fa" in Essentials for Further Advancement)
From studying this passage of the Fa, I have learned to treasure the Fa.
The Fa is purging filth from our minds when we cultivate diligently. Meanwhile, we are purging our attachments to attain the realm of no loophole. When practicing diligently, our bodies undergo marked improvements. We have become increasingly selfless and fearless while our bodies keep rejuvenating. We have become truly illness free. Only Falun Gong practitioners who keep up Fa study will be able to attain such a realm. With that in mind, I must be more diligent in my cultivation practice. Just think of it, all of our improvements are made possible only because of Teacher!
A cultivator's gong level is as high as his/her xinxing level. We must study the Fa day and night. There are role models among everyday people, but there is no role model among cultivators. Teacher is teaching us higher Buddha Law; therefore, we must conduct ourselves with higher and higher standards in return. Only by cultivating ourselves until we have attained the realm of no attachments will we be able to reach Consummation. Teacher is teaching us heavenly secrets!
The Fa is precious beyond precious. Now that the precious Fa is spreading in the human realm I have come to understand that what's more precious is that we have obtained the Fa. We are disciples that Teacher has taught in person. This is the most precious opportunity in eternity. Let our divine sides dominate!
