Minnesota: Mid-USA Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference Held in Minneapolis - Revered Master Sends Message of Congratulations and Encouragement (Photos)

Falun Dafa practitioners share their cultivation experiences at the Fa conference

Falun Dafa practitioners from 15 states gathered in the beautiful Twin Cities for the conference. Nineteen practitioners shared their cultivation experiences and understanding. Benevolent and great Master sent a message of congratulations and encouraged Dafa disciples to exchange their experiences in cultivation and saving sentient beings, and to better accomplish what Dafa disciples should do.

Practitioners exchanged their views and insights on how to remove attachments, improve themselves, keep up with the Fa-rectification process and save sentient beings. They spoke about various aspects arising in the course of their everyday lives, study, cultivation and clarifying the facts.

Dr. Zhou Yu from Chicago summarized his cultivation with two words, "Belief" and "Cultivation." In terms of "Belief," he first recalled his feeling when he first began the practice. He then discovered that although Master had lectured many times, and talked about many things and phenomena from different perspectives, no matter what He taught, He seemed to tell us one thing: that is to cultivate the heart and to be kind. On the other hand, as a scientist in a microscopic field, Dr. Yu used his scientific and technological knowledge to further understand the fallacy of atheism, and to truly comprehend that Dafa is universal truth, and revered Master is leading us to walk on the most righteous path for any being, that is to upgrade from perceptually understanding the Fa to rationally understanding the Fa. In terms of "Cultivation," he talked about his experiences in the face of losing his job.

Ms. Wang Hong from Ohio shared her experience of making use of a large local Chinese school to clarify the facts to the Chinese people. When she accompanied her child to the school, she saw many parents all waiting outside, chatting. She handed various materials out to them, clarifying the truth about Falun Gong, flyers about the NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular, and materials about quitting the Chinese Communist Party. The results were great. Many people happily took the materials. In the course, she also removed her attachment to fear.

Ms. Wei just began practicing Falun Gong six months ago. She explained how only when her father suddenly passed away, did she start wondering about the meaning of life. When she first read Zhuan Falun, she was so excited and said: "This is just what I have been looking for over the past years." Only four to five weeks after she started practicing, thyroid masses on her neck that had plagued her for many years disappeared. Her husband had suffered from arm ache and could not be cured by Chinese medicine, massage and other medical treatments. Since he began to practice Falun Dafa, his arm ache has not recurred. She also mentioned positive changes in her children that have come since beginning the practice.

Ms. Yu studies zoology at the University of Chicago. She talked about how to balance well the relationship between work and cultivation. Although she did not have any experience in animal surgery, she remained steadfast in her belief in Falun Dafa, and diligently studied basic knowledge of surgery. As a result, she ended up training surgeons from Shanghai, delighting her boss and giving her an opportunity to clarify the truth. She successfully clarified the facts to the surgeons and created for herself a steady environment to validate the Fa.

Ms. Wu works in a bank and talked about how she cultivated "compassion," how she improve her tone and kindness in her speech, and how to maximally conform to the state of ordinary society. She works hard and gained the praise of her colleagues, and was awarded as an excellent employee. She displayed a Dafa disciple's demeanor, and made good use of opportunities to clarify the facts to her colleagues. In her everyday life, she began to do more household chores and be more considerate of others in the family. When participating in Fa-validation projects, she communicated with practitioners more often, and worked hard to improve the technical skills needed.

Seth Holehouse from Ohio talked about how he let go of his attachments, such as the attachment to comfort in the course of polishing articles for publication. Cultivating in human society, as he understood it, is the best opportunity to cultivate ourselves and save sentient beings. Such cultivation is far more difficult than cultivating in a remote area, detached from society and hidden away in mountains and forests. Surrounded by everyday society, we must directly face interference from all kinds of attachments in our everyday lives. Since we all lead busy lives, we may fall into a trap: taking sacred Fa study, doing the exercises and sending righteous thoughts as a daily routine, as if we were dealing with everyday work. Cultivation is very serious, however, and we must be careful not to fall into the trap.

The following words come from the opening remarks at the Fa conference: Amidst ups and downs over the past eight years, in face of the world's people's misunderstanding, we have not given up. In face of the Chinese Communist Party's evil persecution, we have not retreated. The bell of the Chinese New Year Spectacular urges the world's people to wake up, the grand tide of quitting the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations foresees that good will ultimately triumph over evil. Let us take this as an opportunity, to encourage each other, and strive forward together diligently. Falun Dafa's truth will ultimately be spread to every corner of the world.
