We Can't Just Wait for the End of the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) There are many Clearwisdom articles talking about the end of the persecution. I truly gained a better understanding of the issue from reading these articles. We should stay firm in our righteous belief in Teacher and the Fa and face all tribulations with determination. This way, practitioners will mature and assimilate into the Fa. I truly found my gaps by reading these experience sharing articles. Practitioners who practice diligently have a clear understanding on the issue and through sharing they are truly helping the entire body improve.

Good articles are written by practitioners who study the Fa calmly, cultivate themselves and hold the salvation of sentient beings in their hearts. The Fa gives them wisdom. When we base our thoughts on the Fa and assimilate to the Fa, what we do and think are divine. On the other hand, if we hold on to our human notions and use what we have done for the Fa, thinking that we can bargain for a higher level when consummating, how can we achieve anything? How can we hold on to such an attachment and still expect to make great progress during the Fa rectification? How can we compare our personal gains and fame to saving sentient beings? If we are waiting for Teacher to end this persecution against Dafa and practitioners, then there will be no need for us to help Teacher to rectify the Fa. All we need to do is to register as a practitioner and wait to go to heaven. That would be absurd!

When the persecution started on July 20, 1999, I yearned for the persecution to end. Especially when I was tortured in detention centers, brainwashing centers and forced labor camps - all I could think of was that Teacher would eliminate the evil with his Fa power and release all practitioners from this hell on earth. I feverishly hoped that western democratic countries would stop Beijing from persecuting practitioners. I hoped that the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) 16^th People's Congress would elect a new leader and he would redress Falun Dafa. I hoped for all this day-in and day-out, from one season to the next, year after year. And the persecution continued and even intensified in some areas, including ours.

I yearned for the persecution to be over because I suffered and I wanted to save my family and coworkers from incurring harm due to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s policy of implication. My selfish thought resulted in a deep attachment to time and to the ending of the persecution. This was just what the old forces wanted, and so they held me tightly within their arrangements. The old forces took my attachment to ending the persecution as an excuse to intensify the persecution. Though I had read Teacher's article, "Teaching the Fa in the City of Chicago," and knew that Teacher didn't acknowledge the old forces and asked us to completely negate the old forces' arrangements, I still didn't enlighten to the Fa principle. I failed to understand that the extra time we had was to save more sentient beings. I took the persecution the old forces forced upon us for granted. I even thought practitioners' personal actions in the persecution were all in accordance with Teacher's Fa rectification. This shallow and twisted selfish thought not only didn't end the persecution, but gave the old forces more excuses to intensify the persecution.

Perhaps some practitioners think that since we know why we need to end the persecution, we can wait for the ending. This is going into another extreme. It is the attachment of wanting comfort interfering with us. The end of the persecution doesn't mean the end of the practice and Fa rectification. We can't immerse ourselves in this attachment and hope for the persecution to end, but use this limited time to be a diligent practitioner and do what we need to do. We need to do better to save the world's people and must not relax at this key moment. The closer to the end, the higher the standard and requirements. When I think that Teacher can't return to China because of the persecution, that those people whose minds are poisoned by the CCP's evil lies are waiting for salvation and that so many practitioners are being still tortured, I understand that we can no longer remain silent and that we can't wait anymore. We can only do well every single moment with what Teacher asks us to do and accomplish what Teacher needs during His Fa rectification, so that we can save more sentient beings. We need to cooperate well with each other and work diligently to end this persecution that wasn't supposed to happen.

Many practitioners hold in their minds the wish for the persecution to end. This wish has even become a major topic during practitioners' experience sharing. Therefore, I want to share my thoughts with you. Practitioners should have a righteous understanding of why we should immediately end the persecution. The persecution will end because of Teacher's immense compassion and the manifestation of the Fa's power. It is a process as Fa rectification approaches the end. In the Fa rectification process, practitioners act against the persecution, cultivate themselves to ascend to higher and purer levels and become selfless enlightened beings who care for others first. We can't always consider issues with our human thinking. Fa rectification is done in other dimensions and dimensions close to the human world. The root of the persecution comes from high level beings in other dimensions. If they are eliminated during the Fa rectification process, then isn't the persecution over already? However, in the human world, the persecution continues. It is directly related to our human notions and attachments and us not being diligent enough. Teacher has already given us the Buddha Fa's divine powers. If our thoughts are completely based on the Fa and saving sentient beings, when we send out a strong righteous thought, we can immediately end the persecution.
