Three Practitioners Died As Result of Persecution

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Qiao Zengyi was a senior technician at Heilongjiang Province Hospital. At noon on June 21, 2006, the police broke into the place where he was staying. Mr. Qiao was illegally arrested by officers from the Harbin City National Security Team, the Nan'gang District Police Department, the Bashan Police Station, and the Neighborhood Administration at the No. 16 Compound of Shike Street in Harbin City. When he was detained at Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp, Mr. Qiao was severely tortured. He contracted tuberculosis and could not eat or drink and became emaciated. He was unable to take care of himself. After being delirious for 43 days, he was eventually taken to a hospital. Even during that time, guards were assigned to watch him. Mr. Qiao died at noon on September 12, 2007. His death was a direct result of persecution.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Shanyou was a residence of Zhongwang Village in Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province. In 1996 he was diagnosed with cancer of the blood by doctors in a Beijing hospital. There was no cure for his cancer. The doctors told his family members to prepare for his funeral. At this time, Mr. Zhou was introduced to Falun Dafa. A few months after he started the practice of Dafa, a miracle happened. He was able to get up and could even walk. The residents of the village all witnessed the amazing power of Dafa.

In July 2007, more than ten uniformed policemen and plainclothes policemen from Gaobeidian City went to Mr. Zhou's house. Without any explanation, they ransacked his home. Some of the officers were very threatening, yelling and cursing. They confiscated Mr. Zhou's Dafa books and tapes.

After being so traumatized by policemen from Gaobeidian City, Mr. Zhou Shangyou's disease recurred. He passed away on August 4, 2007, as a result of persecution.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Feng Deqin was a resident of Kanjiazhuang Village, Tanbu Town, Mengyin County, Shandong Province. Before she began practicing Falun Gong, she suffered from cancer of the stomach. When Ms. Feng began the practice of Falun Gong, all of her diseases disappeared. At the end of 2000, Ms. Feng Deqin and her husband, Mr. Zhang Xin, went with their two children to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong and Teacher Li Hongzhi. They were arrested and detained at the Tanbu Town Government Offices. Ms. Feng Deqin was tortured in these offices.

The Chinese Communist Party officers of Tanbu Town ransacked their house and stole over 1000 kg of wheat, a TV, and 95 long-haired rabbits that they were raising. The officers divided the property and also extorted over 18,000 yuan from the family.

In order to pay the 18,000 yuan, Ms. Feng Deqin and her husband were forced to sell their house. Because of the trauma of the persecution and the spiritual and financial pressure that Ms. Feng was subjected to, her disease recurred. Unable to recover, she died in February 2001.
