Dafa Practitioners Mr. Jiao Meishan and Mr. An Wenqi from Shijiazhuang City Illegally Sentenced to Harsh Prison Terms

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 3, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Jiao Meishan and Mr. An Wenqi from Shijiazhuang City were arrested by police officers from the Shijiazhuang City Public Security Bureau, along with officer Liu Fang (male) from the Political and Security Subsection of the Shijiazhuang City Public Security Bureau, officers from the Shijiazhuang City 610 Office, and police officers from the Xinhua District Police Department, the Lianmeng Road Police Station, and the Chang'an Police Station. Mr. Jiao Meishan has been illegally detained in the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center since then. On August 21, 2007, the Xinhua District Court issued the verdicts for to the two practitioners. Mr. Jiao Meishan was illegally sentenced to a nine-year prison term, and Mr. An Wenqi was illegally sentenced to an 11-year prison term. The two practitioners decided to appeal.

Mr. Jiao Meishan was paralyzed during an accident at work in 1995. After he started practicing Falun Dafa, he recovered his health. He follows the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" in his daily life and is a well known good citizen. He has suffered persecution for long time because he didn't give up his belief in Falun Dafa, which had given him new life. He has been illegally imprisoned since he was arrested on March 3, 2006.

Mr. An Wenqi was sentenced to two years in a labor camp in 2002 by officials in Shijiazhuang City. He was illegally arrested again on March 3, 2007.
