(Clearwisdom.net) August 31, 2007, marked Malaysia's 50th National Day. The Divine Land, Marching Band made up of of Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioners, went to Kota Kinbalu, the capital city of Sabah, Malaysia, to participate in their local celebration. The band also performed elsewhere. Besides playing "Falun Dafa Is Good" and "Delivering Treasure," the band also performed the Malaysian national anthem. The public welcomed them wherever they went. It was the second time the band has performed in Malaysia. The first was in Kuala Lumpur in May. |

Mirdat Mohd was so touched that he gave souvenirs to the band members and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" when he had a group photo with them.!"

The Divine Land Marching Band performed in the busy Center Point Shopping Center. There were crowds of people in the shopping center for the National Day celebrations. The band gathered on the fourth floor of the center. People on each floor stopped to watch. The first musical selection the band played was the Malaysian national anthem. The spectators were surprised at first and then stood up. Afterward, warm applause and acclamations were heard throughout the shopping center.
The band also played "Falun Dafa Is Good," "Drum and Trumpet Shake the World in Ten Directions," and "Delivering Treasure."
After Mr. Mo, a specialist on herbs, listened to the performance, he asked about Falun Gong, requested truth-clarification literature, and presented a gift to a practitioner.
Mr. Xu said it was the first time he'd seen such a performance and felt fortunate after learning the band was from Taiwan.
A local person was touched and presented gift
The band went to perform in front of a food center at the sea shore and won warm applause there, too. Mirdat Mohd, the owner of shop that sold grilled fish, was moved and said in interview, "Very good! I hope they can come next year and perform new music." He said he was very pleased that Taiwanese people could perform the Malaysian anthem so well and that the performance was perfect. "Good, very good. Very touching. It moves us to tears," agreed his employees.
That same evening, the band performed again because the local people asked them to. Mirdat presented souvenirs to the band and shouted "Falun Dafa is good" when he had a group photo with the band.
Thagarajah said, "We should give them our warmest support and applause." He said that the half hour performance was too short.
The waist drum team created a joyous atmosphere
In addition, Falun Gong practitioners from Singapore formed a team of celestial maidens and a waist drum team to perform. The Malaysian audience applauded enthusiastically. A tourist from England said that the waist drum team's playing created a joyous atmosphere, which fit the theme of the National Day celebrations. Celestial Maidens distributed bookmarks with the words "Falun Dafa Is Good" to spectators.
