Ireland: Practitioners Introduce Falun Gong at the Festival of World Cultures (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 25th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in Ireland participated in the 2007 Festival of World Cultures in Dun Laoghaire and celebrated traditional Chinese culture.

On the sea shore, practitioners displayed banners reading "Falun Gong Is Good" and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" and demonstrated the five sets of peaceful Falun Gong exercises. They also demonstrated their affinity with traditional Chinese culture by performing a graceful "Lotus Dance" and the "Fan Dance".

The traditional Chinese dances were met with loud applause from the crowd. People focused their cameras and took many pictures. Practitioners also distributed hand-folded paper lotus flowers at the festival. While young children formed a waiting line trying to get a flower, many others learned enthusiastically how to fold the lotus flowers themselves. A lot of visitors also obtained calligraphy art works from Falun Gong practitioners.

In the refreshing sea breeze, more and more visitors came to view the practitioners' performances, with many staying for long periods of time.
