Persecution Suffered by Yang Guozheng in Qijiang County, Chongqing

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Yang Guozheng, 58 years old, is a resident of Songnan Road in Qijiang County. Yang Guozheng suffered all kinds of persecution, including illegal detention, extortion of money and having her house ransacked and property confiscated. Her younger daughter, Wang Jirong, was persecuted until she died.

On the morning of October 12, 1999, shortly after the official CCP policy of persecution began, Yang and two of her daughters were practicing the Falun Gong exercises at their original practice site. They were arrested and sent to the police station by three policemen from the Yuansongkuang Police Station. One of the policemen was Xu Zhengming. Xu Zhengming extorted 200 Yuan from each of them (that is, the three of them paid 600 yuan in total). If they had no money to pay, they were told to sell their belongings to come up with the money. No receipt was issued for the money paid.

One day in early 2000, Zhou Deming (from the police department of Qijiang County) and He Xinqiang (from Songkuang Police Station) led a few policemen to ransack the residence of Yang Guozheng. They took away Falun Gong books and lecture tapes.

On August 30, 2000, Wei Fuhua (deputy secretary of Songkuang Party Committee), Gong Zekai (chief of security division), Zhao Zhenglan (chief of residence committee) and a division chief of Songju Police Branch with the surname Liu forcefully took Yang Guozheng and her daughters to Datong Technical School and made them go through 15 days of brainwashing.

During the Chinese New Year of 2001, He Xinqiang of Songkuang Police Station made phone calls to threaten Yang Guozheng's aged mother who was her her 80s.

At around 11 pm one night in 2001, He Xinqiang led a few policemen and barged into Yang's residence and confiscated many items.

On April 5, 2001, He Xinqiang, Yu Zhengming and two policemen barged into Yang's house again. They took away three copies of the book Zhuan Falun. They also arrested and took Yang to the police station and illegally detained her for 24 hours. On the second day, they sent her to Qijiang Detention Center where she was illegally detained and persecuted for over 30 days.

In 2002, a Southeast Asia Mayors Conference was held in Chongqing City. Wu Ju (party secretary of Songkuang Party Committee), Han Jie (division chief of Security Division), He Xinqiang and Yu Zhengming (of Songkuang Police Station), Chen Hongbi (district chief of the residence committee), Zhao Zhenglan and Chen Jilan deceptively tricked Yang Guozheng into going to the Songkuang reception area. There they detained her for 72 hours.

On the morning of March 22, 2004, Yang Guozheng went to Anwen County to run errands. Yang Mingyu (instructor at the Country Police Station) and policeman Long Junyou drove the police car and made arrests in the streets. They arrested and sent Yang Guozheng to the County Police Station to be interrogated and tortured. On the very same night, they illegally ransacked the residence of Yang Guozheng without a search warrant. They took truth clarifying materials and amulets on the spot. They also took the death certificate of her younger daughter, Wang Jirong, who had been persecuted until she died. That night, they also handcuffed Yang Guozheng and a few other practitioners together. On March 23, they were sent to Qijiang Country Detention Center and illegally detained for 30 days.
