Ms. Song Xiaotang Tortured to Unconsciousness at Wangcun Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 27, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Song Xiaotang from Tianheng Town in Jimo City, Shandong Province, was arrested and taken to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City, Shandong Province. Several days later, she was tortured to the point of unconsciousness. Guards took her to the hospital and restrained her with handcuffs and leg shackles. Hospital personnel then gave Ms. Song injections while two female guards, Duan Cuiping (the team leader) and Yan Guizhen, sat on her legs to hold her down.

In September, Ms. Song called out "Falun Dafa is good" and held a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The guards retaliated by placing her in solitary confinement and handcuffing her to the wall. They also force-fed her and tortured her by leaving the feeding tube in her stomach for an extended period of time. Political Director Wang Hua (female) then threatened her, saying, "We will give you five more days. If you continue this behavior, we will send you to prison."

The torture left Ms. Song's entire body swollen and in great pain, and her hands trembled violently. The team leader still pressured her to work in this condition, but Ms. Song refused. The team leader shouted,"If you have the strength to hold a steamed bun at mealtime, you have the strength to work."
