(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Xiong Xiuyou lived in the Third Group of Huangjiagou Village, Taiping Town, Gulin County, Sichuan Province. He was twice sentenced to prison terms for practicing Falun Dafa. Both terms were served in the Deyang City Prison. He died on December 16, 2007, while serving his second term in prison. His family has been threatened by the Prison Administration not to reveal any details of his death to the outside world.

On December 14, 2007, Mr. Xiong's wife rushed to the Police General Hospital located in Shuangliu County, Chengdu City, after receiving notice that her husband was dying. Prison Office Chairman Wu said to her, "Since Xiong Xiuyou has not cooperated with our treatments, if he dies, all costs and responsibilities are yours!"

On December 17, 2007, Mr. Xiong's wife and other members of his family saw his body. They saw a seven-inch cut on the left side of his chest. They were told that Mr. Xiong was admitted by the hospital on December 14, 2007, with emphysema. An operation was performed on December 15, and he died on December 16, 2007. Mr. Xiong's body was cremated right after his family saw it.

Mr. Xiong was born on October 1, 1946, and began cultivating in Falun Dafa in 1997. He was arrested multiple times, detained, forced go through brainwashing, and had his home ransacked twice. The police took 600 yuan in cash from his family, plus possessions worth 6,700 yuan. For a farmer's family in the poor Gulin County mountainous area, that is an exorbitant sum.

In 2001, Gulin County Court sentenced Mr. Xiong to three and a half years in prison. He was taken to Deyang City Prison, where the guards beat him with a bat until the bat shattered.

In January 2005, Mr. Xiong was sentenced to five years in prison and taken to Deyang City Prison again, and he was held there until he died on December 16, 2007.
