Denver Musician: Compared to the Sea of Awareness, Violence is Tiny and Stupid (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) During the second show of NTDTV's Chinese New Year Spectacular in Denver on January 12, one of the audience members stood up and applauded a program for a long time. A Minghui reporter interviewed him after the show.

His name is Lawrence Fred. He told the reporter, "I loved it. The show was beautiful and thought-provoking. It promoted high moral and spiritual standards, and entertaining, as well."

Mr. Fred is a professional musician and music teacher. He teaches vocal, piano, guitar and directs operas, and has collaborated with many orchestras and bands. He said the reason he chose music as his career was because music helps people to raise their moral standards and intellectual realm. He said that music helps people to understand history better, and the show tonight achieved this goal.

Mr. Fred said that the show was a "culturally revealing spectacular." As a violinist, he liked the Erhu solo. He joked that he should give up violin to learn the Erhu.

Mr. Fred knew about the persecution of Falun Gong. He doesn't see any reason or a need for the persecution. He said that the persecution is based on narrow-mindedness; Falun Gong is not harmful to anybody. It teaches people to have high values and dignity, which is good for everybody. He said that he was greatly saddened when he heard about the persecution.

Mr. Fred said that the show was shocking at times, for it described the violence that has been directed against people seeking spiritual beliefs. He said that among all the kinds of persecution, the Chinese Communist Party is the worst.

Mr. Fred was deeply touched by the program "The Power of Awareness." He said that it was very beautiful that everybody took the same action to stop the persecution at the end of the program. He said that it was a very beautiful description, and the power of awareness is a calming influence, which dissolves violence. He said that compared to the sea of awareness, violence is tiny and stupid.

Mr. Fred said that he has been a big fan of Chinese art, philosophy, music and martial arts. He doesn't think the Chinese government represents the real China, and he hoped that China will go back to its true self and become a strong country.

Mr. Fred said to the reporter that the first thing he will do after the show is to turn on the computer and look for more detailed information on Falun Gong.
