Arizona: Many Elected Officials Extend Congratulations to Chinese New Year Spectacular (Photo) (Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese New Year Spectacular played January 14
at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. Government officials and celebrities
issued proclamations and sent congratulatory letters to honor the occasion. The mayor of Phoenix proclaimed January 14, 2008 as Divine Performing Arts
Day. Government officials who issued proclamations and sent congratulatory letters
included Senator John Huppenthal, Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard,
Senator Meg Burton-Cahill, Senator Jorge Lius Garcia, Mayor of Phoenix Phil
Gordon, Mayor of Chandler Boyd Dunn, Mayor of Gilbert Steven Berman, Dean of
Arizona State University Mary Ard and Dean of College of Law, Arizona
State University Patricia White. Mayor of Phoenix proclaimed "Divine Performing Arts Day" The mayor of the city of Phoenix Phil Gordon proclaimed January 14, 2008 as
Divine Performing Arts Day in Phoenix. The proclamation stated, "This
world-class production will take place at the Dodge Theatre in downtown
Phoenix;" "the Chinese New Year Spectacular is not only entertainment,
but a valuable and gracious gesture toward cross-cultural understanding;"
"the Chinese New Year Spectacular will enhance the cultural and economic
vitality of our City of Phoenix, Arizona, and promote tolerance and
understanding among different cultures and races." Arizona State Senator John Huppenthal expressed gratitude in his
congratulatory letter to Divine Performing Arts company for bringing 2008
Chinese New Year Spectacular to Phoenix. He said he was very happy to encourage
all citizens in Arizona to watch the show. He wished Chinese people a healthy,
happy and peaceful New Year. The mayor of Chandler Boyd Dunn welcomed the Chinese New Year Spectacular
brought by Divine Performing Arts company in his congratulatory letter. He
stated that Phoenix's scorching Valley of the Sun proudly becomes the host for
the celebration of the Year of Rat. He invited everybody to appreciate the
spectacular performance on behalf of the city of Chandler. Arizona Attorney General welcomes Chinese New Year Spectacular on behalf of
the whole state Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard stated in his letter that it is an
honor to be able to celebrate traditional Chinese culture with Chinese people
around the world. The Chinese New Year Spectacular will add color to traditional
holiday in Arizona. Arizona State Senator Meg Burton-Cahill stated that he had learned that
Divine Performing Arts will revive in every performance traditional virtues such
as kindness, goodness and sincerity. In as short as several years, the audience
of the show increased from 10,000 people in five cities to 600,000 people in 65
cities. He welcomed NTDTV to bring Chinese New Year Spectacular. Dean of Arizona State University Mary Ard stated that we were nurtured by
myths, legends, dances, music and values in the celebration of Chinese New Year.

the world-class Chinese New Year Spectacular will be staged at the Dodge
