(Clearwisdom.net) Hanging on the wall in the living room of a farm family in a village in the rural area of Yudong (eastern Henan province) is a family photo in which all six members of the family, old and young, all have big smiles. The story behind the photo is well known in the local area.
In the past, the mother-in-law of the family did not get along well with the daughter-in-law. The mother-in-law was depressed and had indigestion, while the daughter-in-law got angry. The son and husband, Liugen, suffered much between the two.
Several years ago, the daughter-in-law started to practice Falun Gong and her hatred of her mother-in-law disappeared. She apologized to her mother-in-law sincerely. Soon after, the mother-in-law also became a Falun Gong practitioner. The illnesses of both were gone. They studied the Fa together and went to the fields to work together. The atmosphere of the family was harmonious. Villagers were astonished. Eventually, more than ten others began to practice Dafa themselves.
On the morning of August 14, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law went to harvest beans. Liugen drove a motor vehicle. The three loaded the vehicle until dark. Then the daughter-in-law rode a bicycle back home early to cook. Liugen helped his mother get onto the vehicle and settle down, and then drove back. When he got back home, he asked his mother to get off the vehicle, but nobody answered. He looked upwards, but could not find his mother. Liugen was scared and both of his legs were weak. He told his wife in a hurry and cried. They went along the way back together to look for his mother. Near the village, they heard his mother talking with an aunt. The husband and wife saw their mother, grabbed her hands and asked if she was hurt. The mother said, "I learned Falun Dafa, and Master protected me. Otherwise, if not dead, I would be disabled. When I fell off the vehicle, it was like somebody held up my body. Slowly, I fell to the ground gently and felt no pain. When I stood up, I happened to meet your aunt, and we walked back together."
After dinner, the daughter-in-law suggested, "Tomorrow is the Mid-Autumn Festival as well as Mother's 56th birthday. Let's celebrate it well." Liugen said, "Great! In my opinion, we should not unload the vehicle. Tomorrow we can take a photo of our family in front of the vehicle as a memento. Let all our descendants remember Master's benefaction and that Falun Dafa is good."
The next morning, Liugen and his wife went to town, bought a basket of vegetables and a birthday cake, and also requested a photographer. So that is how the precious Mid-Autumn Festival family photo came to be.
