Turkish Falun Gong Practitioners Protest at the Chinese Embassy (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of December 24, 2007, a group of Turkish Falun Gong practitioners staged a peaceful protest at the Chinese Embassy against the Chinese Communist Party and its persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The brutal persecution has lasted for the past eight years in Mainland China.

During the one-hour protest, practitioners distributed leaflets to policemen on duty, as well as to passersby and reporters who came to cover the event. The leaflets exposed the atrocities committed by the Chinese regime against Falun Gong practitioners over the past eight years. While some practitioners handed out leaflets, the rest of the practitioners demonstrated the fifth Falun Gong exercise - a peaceful sitting meditation.

The beautiful exercise music drew a lot of people's attention. From the balcony, some Chinese Embassy employees watched the practitioners doing the Falun Gong exercises.

Several local people and policemen on duty were interested in learning Falun Gong. They asked practitioners about how to do the exercises. The practitioners answered their questions and gave each of them a copy of an exercise instruction CD.

When the activity was over, the practitioners also visited the Security Bureau to raise awareness of the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist Party's atrocities of illegally harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners to sell for profit.

Two local TV stations and several local newspapers covered the event.
