Performers Receive a Standing Ovation for the Chinese New Year Spectacular at Place des Arts in Montreal, Canada

(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese New Year Spectacular was staged by the touring company of Divine Performing Arts at Montreal's Place des Arts in four performances on January 15-17, 2008. Audience members experienced the elegance of the performance, the Chinese culture, and the visual beauty of the show. They were moved to show their appreciation with a standing ovation. A few audience members verbalized their reactions to reporters:

Financial Advisor: "The Dancing is Very Graceful - Like Butterflies"

Mr. Singer, who works as a financial advisor, told the reporter, "I enjoyed the show very much. It is beautiful. It is typical of Chinese culture [which] we are not so familiar with in Canada. It is very, very entertaining. It is beautiful!"

When asked which performance he liked most, Singer replied, "One is as good as the other. They are all different. The dancing is very graceful - like butterflies. We have been to a lot of theaters in New York, but I can't remember seeing a Chinese Spectacular like this."

A Magical Production - "Everyone Should See the Show At Least Once in a Lifetime"

Joe Peinaro, Director of Sales Marketing for a hotel and a sponsor of the Chinese New Year Spectacular, expressed great praise to the show and the performers: "It was a wonderful show. It is the magic of China that was represented tonight. I am impressed by the whole production and the diversity of the entire show. I applaud all the artists. Everyone should see the show at least once in a lifetime. Everyone contributed [to] a magical production."

Mr. Peinaro said, "The entire production was very spectacular. They didn't called it 'Spectacular' for nothing. It is a really spectacular show. Everyone should come see it."

"This is the first time I have been involved in the show. I heard a lot about the show on the TV news and from the Chinese community. I am so pleased to be part of this wonderful production. I definitely will reserve my tickets for next year."

Andrey Baxso, an accountant: "Spellbound"

Accountant Andrey Baxso expressed exuberance about the show, "It is amazing. The colors take you aback. The elegance of the dancers--Spellbound!!! I am really, really happy to be here. I liked the dances, 'Chopsticks Zest,' and 'Mongolian Bowl Dance.' The dancers' clothes are very colorful, and the dancers are very elegant. There's a lot of history in it. I'd like to bring someone with me next year."
