Los Angeles: "It was an absolutely beautiful story" (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net) On January 20, 2008, the Divine Performing Arts Touring Company completed its fourth Chinese New Year Spectacular in Los Angeles. The show's high level of artistry, its rendering of the profound inner meaning of Chinese culture and its expression of pure kindness and values touched the hearts of the Los Angeles audience.

LA audience is captivated by the Chinese New Year Spectacular

Once again I was overwhelmed by the show

Retired teacher Ms. Linne Sherman has seen New Tang Dynasty Television's (NTDTV) Chinese New Year Spectacular for three consecutive years in Los Angeles. She commented that the show by the Divine Performing Arts this year was absolutely the best.

Ms. Sherman invited many friends to come to see the show this year. She said her friends had never seen it before, and the performances left a deep impression on them. She herself was once again overwhelmed by the show. She said that the dances were wonderful, the performances skillfully presented the traditional Chinese culture, and the costumes were gorgeous.

She said that she will recommend the show to her friends.

The message conveyed was touching

Ms. Sherman emphasized that what impressed her the most was the program's depiction of the persecution of Falun Gong. She said the story itself was very impressive.

She added, "I feel it made us aware that people in mainland China do not have freedom of speech. It is very important."

"I really want to see the show again and again and again"

Miriam Schneider is Ms. Sherman's friend. She was very excited after seeing the show and told the reporter that she had learned a lot. The music and dancers were beautiful. She said what impressed her the most were costumes, dances, and the story behind each program, and beautiful music. She said, "I was very impressed by such beautiful music. If I had chance I would want to see it again and again and again."

She commented, "This show was incomparable in costumes, backdrops and music. The show was really 'Spectacular'."

Ms. Schneider also told the reporter that the program that she talked about the most and liked the most was the one depicting three women Falun Gong practitioners who were subjected to persecution in prison, and later received their just reward and ascended to a Heavenly paradise. The story was touching, and it was an absolutely a beautiful story.
