City Council of North Las Vegas Issues Proclamation for Divine Performing Arts Day

Whereas, It is the policy and pleasure of the City of North Las Vegas City Council to recognize special events in our community; and

Whereas, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) is presenting its annual Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Las Vegas Hilton Theater on January 21st; and

Whereas, more than 650,000 people will have the chance to experience the Spectacular shows live in 70 cities from January through May 2008, making it the largest world-class Chinese performance series in the world; and

Whereas, Divine Performing Arts of the Spectacular is commended for their achievements in rediscovering the traditional cultural arts of China; and;

Now, Therefore, we, the city council of the city of North Las Vegas, do hereby proclaim January 21, 2008, as: Divine Performing Arts Day in North Las Vegas, and urge all citizens to join us in congratulating all of the participants.
