Ms. Han Xuelian Suffers Miscarriage After Mistreatment by Dingxing County Police in Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On the night of July 23, 2007, 16 officers, including Zhu Xiaotao and Jia Qingchuan from the Domestic Security Division of the Dingxing County Police Department in Hebei Province; Yao Gang, the director of the township police station; and Duan Fuzheng, security secretary of the production brigade, ransacked practitioner Ms. Han Xuelian's home, arresting her, her husband Mr. Lu Zhensheng (nickname Tieqiang, non-practitioner), her sister-in-law Ms. Lu Wenjie (non-practitioner), and her mother-in-law Ms. Ren Jinfeng. The officers also seized their computer, TV, printer, Falun Dafa books, 3 cell phones, satellite receiver, and 90 yuan from Mr. Lu.

At that time, Ms. Han was in her second month of pregnancy. She explicitly told the officers about her pregnancy. Even so, they paid no attention to that. Zhu Xiaotao and Jia Qingchuan forced her to stand motionless with her arms outstretched for a long time. Two days later Ms. Han miscarried at the Domestic Security Division.

The officers from the Domestic Security Division took Ms. Han to the county hospital after her miscarriage. But they fabricated a story saying that her bleeding resulted from an "infection". Ms. Han was only given Baiyao (a Chinese traditional herbal medicine for internal and external bleeding) and was taken to a detention center directly from hospital. On August 8, 2007, Ms. Han was taken the Shijiazhuan Forced Labor Camp and has been imprisoned there ever since.

When Ms. Han was arrested, Mr. Lu and Ms. Lu, her husband and sister-in-law, who are not practitioners, questioned the officers, "Why are you arresting her? Which law have we broken?" They were subsequently beaten and arrested.

Ms. Lu is sixteen-years-old. By law, she is too young to do forced labor. Officers in the Dingxing County Police Department lied to her, telling her that she would be spared if she said that she was a practitioner; otherwise, she would be sent to a forced labor camp. Naively, Ms. Lu believed them and said she was a practitioner. Immediately, the officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Dingxing County Police Department changed her age from 16 to 26 and took her to a forced labor camp to be punished for practicing Falun Dafa.
