Mr. Zheng Shizhen, a practitioner in Fuzhou City, was taken into custody by domestic security officers in Cangshan District, Fuzhou City. Early in the evening on January 11, 2008, Mr. Zheng was taken to the Fuzhou No. 2 Detention Center.

4. [Jilin Province] Gongzhuling City Police Department Investigates Falun Gong Practitioners
Recently, officers from the Gongzhuling City Police Department dressed in plainclothes to investigate Falun Gong practitioners. They went to each company, school, and other businesses to find out who had been or was still practicing Falun Gong.
5. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Long Zhuyun and Her Daughter Taken into Custody
Ms. Long Zhuyun and her daughter, Fangfang, are practitioners in Xixia District, Yinchuan City. On the afternoon of January 10, 2008, they were clarifying the truth to pedestrians near Ningxia University. Officers from the Shuofang Road Police Station and the Xixia District Police Department took them into custody. Ms. Long Zhuyun has been taken into custody five times since July 20, 1999, when the persecution begon. She was also "illegally sentenced" to forced labor.

6. [Qidong County, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Deying Abused in Nanjing Women's Prison
Ms. Liu Deying is a farmer from Miaonan Village, Beixin Township, Qidong County. She was sentenced to six years in prison and taken to the Nanjing Women's Prison in the first half of 2003. The prison authorities resorted to nonstop torture in order to coerce Ms. Liu to give up her belief:
They constantly kept Ms. Liu hungry by not providing her with enough food; they deprived her of sleep for 12 days and forced her to stand for extended hours on numerous occasions; in July and August 2004, the hottest months in Nanjing, the prison guards forced her to run out in the sun for several days; the guards also verbally abused Ms. Liu.
7. [Jiangsu Province] Ms. Du Fenglan Abused in Nanjing Women's Prison
Ms. Du Fenglan, in her 60s, was sentenced to three years in prison. At the end of 2003 or the beginning of 2004, she was taken to the No. 4 Ward in the Nanjing Women's Prison, where she was deprived of sleep.

11. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yu Yanhui Held at Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jiutai City
Mr. Yu Yanhui, a practitioner from Songyuan City, was sentenced to forced labor. On October 10, 2007, he was secretly taken to Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jiutai City. He is being held in the No. 1 Division. Mr. Yu's family learned about this only after receiving a phone call from the labor camp.
12. [Da'an City, Jilin Province] Ms. Ma Fengyi and Ms. Tang Shude Taken into Custody
Ms. Ma Fengyi and Ms. Tang Shude, practitioners in Anguang Town, Da'an City, were taken into custody while they were delivering truth-clarification materials on January 2, 2008. The two practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.
13. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Su Xiumin and Ms. Dong Guoxiang Arrested
Ms. Su Xiumin and Ms. Dong Guoxiang both live in the Huanxiling Area of Panjin City. On January 10, 2008, Domestic Security agents from the Linghai City Police Department arrested both of them while they were clarifying the truth in Dawangtun Village, Youwei Town, Linghai City. They are currently detained in the Linghai City Detention Center.
14. [Zhaoyuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Facts Concerning the Persecution of Mr. Zhao Shifeng
Suihua City Farming Bureau Police Department Director Wen Changjun (male) arrested practitioners Mr. Zhao Shifeng (from Xinzhan Town, Zhaoyuan County), Mr. Wang Yakun, Ms. Lu Xiuzhen, Ms. Yue Shuli, and Ms. Wei Yuqin (all from Zhaoyuan County Farm) and detained them in the Department Detention Center for more than four months. He had them put on trial on January 10, 2008, but the court session had to be adjured because they could not find any evidence to use against the practitioners.
15. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Shi Baosheng and Ms. Li Chunying Each Sentenced Three Years in Prison
On November 8, 2007, Honggang District Court held a secret trial for practitioners Mr. Shi Baosheng and Ms. Li Chunhua. The sentences were not announced on the court, but the practitioners were each sentenced to three years in prison. Ms. Li has been taken to Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. Mr. Shi appealed, had his appeal rejected, and will be taken to the Hulan Prison soon.
16. [Liaoning Province] More Than a Dozen Practitioners Still Detained in Dalian City Drug Rehabilitation Center
There are at least a dozen practitioners still detained in the Dalian City Drug Rehabilitation Center. One practitioner has been tortured to death. The Administration still conducts brainwashing on these practitioners, and they do not allow firm practitioners to be visited by their families.

Mr. Wang Shengjian's wife, Ms. Zhang Shuchun, has not lived at home for many years to avoid being arrested. He lives in Beitaishang Village, Xinzhuang Town, Zhaoyuan City. At around 8:00 p.m. on January 8, 2008, more than 20 Zhaoyuan City 610 Office agents stormed into his home by climbing over a wall, kicking in his door, and beating him brutally while pulling him by his hair. One of them shouted, "Someone saw your wife come back to burn incense at her father's grave."
January 8, 2008, was the three-year anniversary of Ms. Zhang's father's death. She came home to burn some incense for him. The 610 agents beat her husband for more than 30 minutes, ransacked his home, and took 1,600 yuan in cash, which he had just earned by selling corn. They then quickly went to his mother-in-law's house located in Dazhuangjia Village, Xinzhuang Town.
18. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Wenzhan Arrested
At around 10:00 p.m. on January 10, 2008, four policemen arrested practitioner Mr. Li Wenzhan (from Huailai County) and ransacked his home.
19. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qi Tongshan and Ms. Wang Meixiang Arrested
On January 9, 2008, police from the Yunshan Town Station and the Pingdu City Department arrested Mr. Qi Tongshan (from Shantou Village, Zhugou Town) and Ms. Wang Meixiang (from Dongliuquan Village, Yunshan Town), who were helping fellow practitioner Ms. Wang Zhongfang (from Yutai Village, Yunshan Town) set up a satellite system. They took Ms. Wang Zhongfang's TV, VCD, satellite receiving system, and her Falun Dafa books. At 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2008, police ransacked Mr. Qi Tongshan's home and took his satellite system, TV, and Falun Dafa books. At 10:00 p.m. on January 10, 2008, police ransacked Ms. Wang Meixiang's home and took her satellite system, banners, discs, Falun Dafa books, and her nephew's 4,000 yuan cash that he had saved for his wedding.

Lanshan District 610 Office agents and police officers recently posted announcements slandering Falun Gong all over Linyi City. The announcements also encouraged people to report practitioners' truth-clarification activities.

21. [Pengshan County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Guojian and Mr. Wang Molin Sentenced to Prison
On the night of April 12, 2007, Pengshan County Domestic Security agents arrested practitioners Mr. Chen Guojian and Mr. Wang Molin, 70 years old. Mr. Chen has been secretly sentenced to five years in prison. Mr. Wang Molin has been sentenced to two years in prison. They are both detained in the Pengshan County Detention Center.
Mr. Wang Molin was sentenced to four years in prison in 2001 and served his term in the Deyang City 95 Factory Prison.

On the morning of January 11, 2008, four police officers from the Aohan Prefecture Department and Sijiazi Station stormed into practitioner Mr. Bao Shiyu's home located in Laohushan Village, Sijiazi Town. They took Mr. Bao into custody at the Aohan City Police Department and took his Falun Dafa books, truth-clarifying materials, and satellite receiving systems.
