(Clearwisdom.net) I live in Shuangcheng City in Heilongjiang Province and work as a truck driver for an out-of-town company. The roads that I travel are mostly winding and hilly and are very difficult to drive. Every time I go home, my grandmother always talks with me about the facts regarding Falun Gong, and tells me not to forget reciting in mind: "Falun Dafa is good. 'Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance' is good."

While I was home on vacation one time, I visited a friend at his home. I saw that he was burning books. As I arrived, his family members asked him to go on an errand so he asked me to burn the books for him. When I took a closer look, I found that he was burning Falun Gong books, including a copy of Zhuan Falun. (My friend wanted to stop his mother from practicing Falun Gong because she had been jailed and fined before.) But my grandmother had told me that Dafa books are all heavenly and are all for saving people. I rushed to grab the books out of the fire, brushed the cinders away, and took the books to my grandmother's house. Seeing what I had done, she said: "You have done the greatest thing. You have accumulated a lot of de [virtue]."

Not long after this incident, the brakes of my truck failed one day when I was driving on a windy hill road and my car headed straight ahead toward the car in front of me. There was ice and snow on the road with a creek running along one side. I was expecting the worst to happen.

Right then I thought of asking Teacher for help. I yelled: "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance is good!" The car stopped immediately, as though nothing had happened. But I was totally shocked, and took a long time to recover. I wanted to be on my knees to kowtow to Teacher. But I could not move. I made the heshi gesture [putting the two hands together, palm to palm, in a gesture of respect] immediately and thanked Teacher for saving my life. I want to tell everyone: Please cherish Dafa and quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliations right away so that you will be safe.
