(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday, January 12, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in the UK gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy in London to hold a rally in support of the 30 million Chinese people who have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. The rally also supported "Millions of Signatures," an anti-persecution event initiated globally by the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG). The rally called for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong, and urged more Chinese people to walk away from the Party terror and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations as early as possible.

In the sunshine, banners worded "Heaven Will Destroy the CCP" and "Supporting 30 Million Chinese Who Have Quit the CCP" were set up across from the Chinese Embassy in London. During the three-hour rally, practitioners kept sending forth righteous thoughts, doing the exercises together, and distributing "truth-clarification" leaflets to passersby. Affected by the peaceful grand rally, many passersby slowed their steps to accept the leaflets. Those who were in vehicles opened their windows as they passed and accepted the leaflets.

It has been over eight years since the CCP initiated the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners who follow "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." Innocent practitioners in China have been arrested, forced to do hard labor, tortured, and killed. Many of them even had their organs harvested when they were still alive. This is the worst human rights tragedy in China and in the world today. During the past eight years, practitioners around the world have been making great efforts to clarify the truth and protest the persecution. For over five years practitioners in the UK have kept up a peaceful appeal around the clock, every day, in front of the Chinese Embassy. They have kept their exhibition boards clarifying the truth updated, demonstrating the grace of Falun Dafa and exposing the CCP's inhumane persecution of Falun Gong. They hope that more Chinese and the people of the UK will offer their support after learning the facts. Every day, passersby sign the petition opposing the persecution.

During this event, Ms. Arezoo, a UK citizen of Iranian descent and a Falun Gong practitioner who lives in Cambridge, said that it was not only very necessary but also very powerful to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong and to voice support for the 30 million Chinese people that have quit the CCP.

John Dee, chairman of "Friends of Falun Gong" in the UK, said, "The purpose of 'Millions of Signatures' is to give more people the opportunity to object to the persecution and stand on the side of justice. It was initiated by the CIPFG. The movement is very important, especially since it is 2008 and the Olympic Games will be held in China. We cannot allow the genocidal crimes against Falun Gong and the Olympic Games to coexist in China. If millions of people sign the petition, it will encourage a large number of people, especially Chinese people, to dispose of the evil CCP in time and to make a right choice. The international community should help stop the persecution before the Olympic Games start."

Dr. Li from Cambridge said, "I am very pleased to see that the number of people who have quit the CCP is growing steadily. One more person quits the CCP and its associated organizations, and one more person will have a hope and a future. With the promotion of this effort to quit the CCP, Chinese people who have been enslaved and deceived by the CCP and its Party culture are really awakening! The evil CCP, which has committed enormous crimes against Gods, Buddha, and China, will fall in the near future. Ms. Lin Xiling, who is called 'a living fossil of the rightists' [editor's note: The CCP initiated the Anti-rightist Movement in 1958 to persecute intellectuals and anyone who criticized the CCP. The so-called "rightists" were persecuted for the next two decades.] learned the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution recently after seeing the Chinese New Year Spectacular. She realized that she had understood the truth about life. She regretted being deceived by the CCP's lies. She plans to use the rest of her life to learn more about Falun Gong and spread the facts to more people."

Just like Dr. Li, practitioners who participated in the rally have heartfelt wishes that more and more Chinese people will seize the opportunity to learn the truth to save themselves.
