Mr. Zhang Weijin from Qinhuangdao Persecuted to Near-Mental Collapse--His Current Whereabouts Unknown
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhang Weijin, from Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province, has
spent the past eight years--since the persecution of Falun Gong began in
1999--mostly in prisons, labor camps, and brainwashing centers. The long term
psychological and inhumane physical torture exceeded the limits of his
endurance. According to his 80-year-old mother, after Mr. .Zhang returned home from
prison, he was constantly harassed. Later, he was again taken to a brainwashing
center. He was so badly persecuted that he began to become mentally disordered
and vomited very often, almost every time that he ate. He could not sleep at
night and often shouted. According to sources, he traveled to Beijing recently
and was arrested by police from the Changli Public Security Bureau on December
17 and taken to Xinjie Police Station. However, for some unknown reason, Mr.
Zhang returned home at around 2:00 a.m. that night to look for some clothing.
The next morning, on December 18, he left, and his whereabouts are currently
unknown. Mr. Zhang has been subjected to more than eight years of persecution. Not
only did the Changli Cultural Bureau prohibit him from going to work, they
refused to give him any compensation. He had to be taken care of by his elderly
mother.
