Ms. Yu Zhiying Dies after 28 Days in Detention in Chongqing City
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Yu Zhiying, 71, a Falun Dafa
practitioner, was a retired employee of the Chang'an Company in Chongqing City.
At around 9:00 p.m. on October 12, 2007, domestic security agent Liang Shibing
(male), policewoman Deng Hongying, and more than eight Internet police rushed
into Ms. Yu Zhiying's home. They ransacked her place, taking Falun Dafa books,
truth-clarification materials, a computer, a printer, a copy
machine, and other items. They then arrested Ms. Yu, and took her to the
Jiangbei District Detention Center for a one-year forced labor term. After less than a month in detention, Ms. Yu's entire body appeared swollen,
and she was very weak, with diarrhea and vomiting. Fearing they would be held
responsible if she died, the detention center administration hurriedly took her
home on November 9, 2008. Even after she returned home, officers from Dashiba Police Station and
neighborhood administrators constantly harassed Ms. Yu, trying to force her to
write the Three Statements. They also forced her to submit a written
report to the police station every couple of days. Under the relentless
persecution, Ms. Yu Zhiying was unable to recover and she died on January 16,
2008. January 21, 2008
