Ms. Wang Jingxian was reported to police in March 2007 when she explained the facts of Falun Gong in a vegetable market in Kunming City. Police arrested her and ransacked her home. She is presently being held in the city's Dabanqiao No.2 Prison.

Three older practitioners were sentenced in the Shahekou District Court in Dalian City on January 18, 2008. They are 76-year-old Mr. Liu Honghan, 75-year-old Ms. Ma Mingxiu, and 69-year-old Ms. Sun Shufen. The sentencing began at 9:40 a.m. and ended at 10:40 a.m.

Jiamusi City Prison's No.1 Wardchief Quan Wei and several criminal inmates beat Mr. Gong Zhijun, Mr. Shan Zhiping, and Mr. He Congfeng on September 26, 2007.

Six officers from the Jidong City Domestic Security Division and from the Hada Police Station broke into Ms. Gao Haixia's home in No.4 Group in Dongfeng Village at 8:00 a.m. on January 18, 2008. They arrested Ms. Gao and confiscated a tape recorder, three copies of Zhuan Falun, a copy of "Hongyin" II, several copies of "Minghui Weekly," five New Year calendars, and a couplet. They extorted 3,000 yuan from her family. Ms. Gao was released that same afternoon at 3:00 p.m. on January 18, 2008.

Local police arrested Ms. Li Shumei, Ms. Zang Yujie, and another unknown practitioner from Tonghua County the night of January 19, 2008. The arrest happened when they distributed truth clarification materials in Sipeng Township. Police also arrested a taxi-driver.

Personnel from the Jiangyuan County Domestic Security Division, from the Shiren Police Station, and from the Wangou Police Station arrested Ms. Lin Daihong from Xichuan Village, Wangou Town, Baishan City, at noon on January 15, 2008. She was admitted to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp that same day.

Police went to Mr. Li Shaochen's home in the Hongqiao District at 7:00 p.m. on January 17, 2008. They arrested Mr. Li's wife, Ms. Zhang, and her daughter, Ms. Li Hong, and two other practitioners, older Ms. Liu and younger Ms. Liu. Where they are being detained is unknown. Mr. Li was not at home, so he was not arrested but has had to leave home to avoid arrest.

Police ransacked Mr. Guo Jindong's home in the Hongqiao District. They arrested Mr. Guo and took him to the Hebei District Detention Center. They also confiscated a satellite TV receiver, some Dafa books, and some personal belongings.

Sixty-year-old Mr. Li Shaochen had been put in a forced labor camp in 2001 and his wife, Ms. Zhang, had previously been sentenced.

Ms. Zhang Hongyan was arrested from Lintingkou Town in the Baodi District on January 16, 2008. She was taken to the district's police department on January 17, 2008. Police informed her family that she would be held for two weeks.

Personnel from the Dahutong Police Station arrested 25-year-old Ms. Jin Xiaoling because she posted truth clarification materials with her mother, Ms. Zhu Xinhong, on May 17, 2007. Ms. Jin eventually got released, but her mother was sentenced to two years of forced labor.

Police again arrested Ms. Jin at home and took her to the Hongqiao Police Station the night of January 19, 2008.

Personnel from the Yanqing Police Department's Domestic Security Division arrested 50-year-old Ms. Chang Qing from Yanqing County on November 23, 2007. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor one month later.

Ms. Huang Chunji is a 50-year-old farmer in Wuliying Village, Yanqing Town, Yanqing County. Personnel from the town's police station arrested her and put her in a detention center. The Wuliying Village chief picked Ms. Huang up and took her to her daughter's home. However, personnel from the county's police department's No.1 Section arrested Ms. Huang again at noon on January 14, 2008. When her family requested her release, police told them that she had been sentenced to forced labor. That was the second time she was sentenced to forced labor. The previous sentence was for two years. The current arrest happened less than a year following her release.

Police arrested Ms. Zhu Yuxiang and Ms. Sun Yanmin from the Fengrun District, Tangshan City, and took them to the Yanshan Street Police Station the afternoon of January 17, 2008. They transferred them later on to the district's detention center.

Police arrested Ms. Miao Haizhou and her daughter, Ms. Wang Xiuhong, from Dawang Village, Qinghua Township in Wu'an City, the night of January 15, 2008. Police put them into the city's detention center and threatened them with a four or five-year prison sentence unless they tell the source of their truth clarification materials.

Personnel from the Dongshan Police Department arrested Ms. Li Qingwen from Hegang City in an Internet caf on August 1, 2007. She has been sentenced to forced labor. The sentence to be served in the Suihua City Forced Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province.

Police searched Ms. Li's computer but found nothing. In order to arrest her, they forced the caf owner to testify to false evidence that Ms. Li had done something illegal. As a result, they arrested Ms. Li and admitted her to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp. She is extremely weak and has ascites in her chest.

Personnel from the Rencun Town Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Wenying at 7:00 p.m. on January 15, 2008. The reason for the arrest was that she had written the phrase "Falun Dafa Is Good" on a wall in her home. Police ransacked her home and confiscated one of Master's pictures. They attempted to coerce her into writing a guarantee statement, but Ms. Zhang refused. They arrested her and then forcibly took Mr. Yue Faming and Ms. Yue Yonghong into custody, also. Police took the three practitioners to the Rencun Police Station.

Eight officers from the Chuanhui District 610 Office and from the Shanan Police Department arrested 60-year-old Ms. Guo Fengqin from her home in the Zhoukou City Industrial Bureau at 11:00 a.m. on January 17, 2008. They ransacked her home and confiscated one of Master's pictures, a tape recorder, a Falun Gong lecture tape and four pamphlets. They took her to the Shanan Domestic Security Division. She was transferred to Xiangcheng Detention Center on January 18, 2008.

Taiyuan City police arrested Mr. Yan Yafei from Fenxi County on January 27, 2005, when he distributed truth- clarification materials. Mr. Yan was sentenced to one year of forced labor. He is being tortured and is extremely weak.

Mr. Cao Jianshan, a teacher from the Huiyang High School in Huizhou City, was arrested on New Year's Day 2008 for explaining the facts about Falun Gong. He is presently being held at the Gutang'ao Detention Center in the Huicheng District.

Personnel from the Xiaojiahe Police Station put 65-year-old Mr. Liao Yongyi under house arrest. They took turns monitoring him around the clock. They knocked on the door about five times daily to monitor him. He has been under house arrest for five days.

Police arrested three practitioners at a Falun Gong truth clarification material production site in Wuchuan City at 4:00 p.m. on September 23, 2007. They were Mr. Zhou Jianyuan, Mr. Zhuo Jiangshan, and Ms. Wang Jiafang, an associate professor in the Mathematics Department of Guangzhou University. Wuchuan City Court agents sentenced them at 8:00 a.m. on January 22, 2008. Ms. Wang has been bailed out for hospitalization.

Ms. Liang Rongfang has been held at the Mazhang No.2 Detention Center in Zhanjiang City for a year. She was released on January 18, 2008, but 610 Office agents waited at the detention center entrance and took her to a brainwashing center. Ms. Liang had fever and was released on January 20, 2008.

Police arrested Ms. Lin Hanying, Ms. Chen Hongyun, and Ms. Yao Jinfeng from Wuhan City on January 18, 2008, when they distributed truth clarification materials in the Huangpo District. Ms. Lin and Ms. Chen are presently being held in Wujiashan Women's Prison. Ms. Yao is in Zhanjiaji Brainwashing Center in the Jiang'an District.

Personnel from the Bao'an Liutang Police Station arrested three practitioners, including Ms. Jiang Aimei, on January 16, 2008. One practitioner's family has gained his release from the police station, but the other two are still being held.

Mr. Wu Renhui, an employee of the No.1028 Factory in Xiuwen County, Guiyang City, was arrested and put into a forced labor camp on January 16, 2008. Mr. Wu had been held twice in forced labor camps for a total of five years. Mr. Wu's father passed away from the huge stress. The police often harassed Mr. Wu, even after his release.

Mr. Wu is a middle school teacher. His wife is unemployed. The whole family--his mother, his son, and his wife--lead difficult lives on his poor income. The police failed to force him to write a guarantee statement. They had already arrested him in the middle of December 2007.

Personnel from the Tongxin Police Station arrested Ms. Xue Liangyan from her home in the Gumingzhu Garden Community at 6:00 a.m. on September 19, 2007. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, some Dafa books, and truth clarification materials.

Ms. Xue began Falun Gong practice after July 20, 1999. She had previously suffered from leiomyoma but recovered afterwards. She is presently being held at the Dongxihu District Erzhigou Women's Detention Center, and the disease has relapsed. The police have ordered her non-practitioner son to report to the police office daily.

Personnel from the Shirengou Police Station arrested Mr. Wang Jian from his home in Zunhua Xingwangzai Village, Tangshan City, the morning of October 17, 2007. Chief Wang Shusheng led four policemen and village head Wang Xiaoli to ransack his home. They broke into the house through a window and confiscated a laptop and a desktop computer.

Zunhua City Domestic Security Division deputy chiefs Wang Kunyuan and Dong Guofeng abused and beat Mr. Wang during an interrogation on December 28, 2007. Mr. Wang's chest hurt and he could not eat.

Personnel from the Domestic Security Division and from the detention center extorted 3,000 yuan from his family and then released him on January 8, 2008.

Personnel from the Laixibinhe Street Police Precinct arrested Ms. Zhao Shuhuan and Ms. Ge Shujuan from Laixi City the night of November 1, 2007. Their homes were ransacked the next day. Ms. Zhao was released 15 days later, but Ms. Ge is presently being held at the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City.

Ms. Zhao was arrested and put in a detention center again on December 20, 2007. She was held for 14 days and then was sentenced to one year and nine months of forced labor, to be served in Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City.
