Information about the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Anxin County, Hebei Province (Part 2)

(Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net).] Ms. Li Daru, 67, is from Beiqing Village, Tongkou Township, Anxin County. In
July 2002, she was arrested by officers from the National Security Division of
the Anxin County Police Department for distributing Falun Gong
truth-clarifying materials. Her home was searched, and she was
subsequently sentenced to three years of forced labor. Ms. Gao Xiao'er, 50, is from Beiqing Village, Tongkou Township, Anxin County.
In July 2002, she was arrested by officers from the National Security Division
of the Anxin County Police Department for distributing truth-clarifying
materials. Her home was ransacked. She was then viciously beaten at the
detention center and sentenced to one year of forced labor. Ms. Diao Ruihua, 67, is a retired actress from the Baoding Opera. She is also
from Beiqing Village in Tongkou Township. In July 2002, she was arrested by
officers from the National Security Division of the Anxin County Police
Department for distributing Falun Gong materials. Her home was searched, and she
was then viciously beaten at the detention center. She was sentenced to three
years of forced labor. Her husband passed away soon after Ms. Diao was detained
because she could not take care of him. Ms. Li Daduo, in her 40s, is from Beiqing Village, Tongkou Township, Anxin
County. Ms. Li went to Beijing on July 20, 1999, to appeal for and support Falun
Gong. The Beijing police took her to a stadium and registered her name. Ms. Li
was then taken back to Anxin County and sent to a brainwashing center. A week
later, she was taken to another brainwashing center for 17 days. In July 2002,

labor. The above seven practitioners were among the 19 Falun Gong practitioners
arrested from Beiqing Village during large scale arrests in 2002. These
practitioners were the most-severely persecuted. The other 12 were also
illegally detained and brainwashed for several months. Mr. Zhao Jinshan, in his 40s, is from Dongti Village, Duancun Township, Anxin
County. He was operating a small business in Beijing. In late 2004, around 20-30
policemen went to his rented apartment and coerced him to hand over his Dafa
books. Later, along with his wife and child, Mr. Zhao was taken to a
brainwashing center in Fengtai. Mr. Zhao refused to pay the extortion money.
Three days later, he was taken back to a detention center in Anxin for 15 days.
He was forced to pay 600 yuan per person for meals. His family also
paid out over 1000 yuan to facilitate his release. Ms. Ma Qiuhong, 42, is the wife of Zhao Jinshan. She was in Beijing with her
husband operating a small business. She was arrested with her husband in Beijing
and was "illegally detained" for 15 days. Mr. Tian Laode, 63, is a retired cadre from the Labor and Social Security
Bureau. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, he was forced to write a
guarantee statement promising not to practice Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang Xiaochan, 75, is from Guolikou Village, Anxin Township. In 2000,
several people from the township and village government went to her home. They
asked her, "Is Falun Gong good or bad?" and other questions. She was
taken to the township government office, then the detention center. Due to the
shortage of space in the detention center, they could not keep her there. Her
two sons wrote guarantee statements for her and paid 10,000 yuan bail for her
release. Ms. Deng Guoying, 57, an employee of the County Grain Bureau, is from Xibei
Village, Anzhou Township, Anxin County. She went to Beijing on July 20, 1999, to
appeal for Falun Gong. She was taken to a sports stadium, where she was
registered by the police. She was then taken back to Anxin and sent to a
brainwashing center. A week later, she was sent to another brainwashing center
and detained for 17 days. Ms. Li Shuling, 47, is a housewife from Nanhe Village, Anxin Township, Anxin
County. She went to Beijing on July 20, 1999, to appeal for Falun Gong. She was
taken to a sports stadium where she was registered by police. She was then taken
back to Anxin and sent to a brainwashing center. A week later, she was sent to
another brainwashing center and detained for 17 days. Mr. Li Furui, in his 60s, is a retiree from the Business Bureau, and is from
Guolikou Village in Anxin Township. He went to Beijing on July 20, 1999, to
appeal for Falun Gong. He was taken to a sports stadium and registered by
police. He was then taken back to Anxin and sent to a brainwashing center. A
week later, he was sent to another brainwashing center and detained for 17 days.
During the so-called sensitive dates, officials at his workplace
harassed him and told him to write guarantee statements or sign similar
documents. Ms. Ma Qiuming, 37, is an elementary school teacher from Mazhuang Village,
Liulizhuang Township, Anxin County. In 2001, officers from the National Security
Division of Anxin County Police Department suddenly broke into her home and
searched it. Ms. Yang Ruichun, 54, an employee at a local store, is from Lijia Village,
Laohetou Township, Anxin County. Since July 20, 1999, police officers from the
local station and people from her workplace have been harassing her at home and
monitoring her day and night. They have also taken away her personal
identification card. Ms. Lu Shuying, 60, worked at a hospital and was from Northeast China. She
started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. She went to Beijing on July 20, 1999, to
appeal for Falun Gong. She was taken to a sports stadium and registered by
police. She was then taken back to Anxin and sent to a brainwashing center. A
week later, she was sent to another brainwashing center and detained for 17
days. She stopped practicing Falun Gong due to fear, and became physically
weaker over time. Early in 2007, her condition worsened, and she passed away. Ms. Wang Jun, in her 60s, is a housewife from Nanhe Village, Anxin Township.
She went to Beijing on July 20 to appeal for Falun Gong. She was taken to a
sports stadium and registered by police. She was then taken back to Anxin and
sent to a brainwashing center. A week later, she was sent to another
brainwashing center and detained for 17 days. Mr. Chen Jinfeng, 45, is director of the Anxin Township Land Use Office. He
is a military veteran and is from Tongkou Township. After the persecution
started, he was jailed for seven days by township officials. They attempted to
send him to brainwashing center but failed. Mr. Zhao Youjie, in his 60s, is a retired cadre from the Business Bureau. He
is from Xiaobeifeng Village, Liulizhuang Township, Anxin County. On July 20,
1999, he was taken to the police bureau in the middle of the night. He was then
sent to a brainwashing center. A week later, he was sent to another brainwashing
center and detained for 17 days. Ms. Li Guijin, in her 60s, a retiree from the Credit Union, is originally
from Tianjin. She was sent to Anxin during the Cultural Revolution. After the
persecution started, the officials at her workplace locked her in a small room
for several days and threatened to "transform" her. Ms. Wang Guihua, in her 60s, is an employee at the Economic and Trade Bureau
from Nanhe Village, Anxin Township. She was sent to a brainwashing center for
seven days after the persecution started on July 20, 1999. Mr. Li Yuhuai, 65, a retired cadre from the County Health and Sport
Committee, is from Sanyi Village, Liulizhuang Township, Anxin County. On July
20, 1999, he was taken to the police bureau in the middle of the night. He was
then sent to a brainwashing center. Since then, he has been repeatedly told to
write guarantee statements and forced to answer questions on the so-called
"sensitive dates." Ms. Zhang Naifang, in her 50s, is from Nanhe Village, Anxin Township, Anxin
County, where she operates a small business. She was sent to a brainwashing
center after the persecution began on July 20, 1999. A week later, she was sent
to another brainwashing center and detained for 17 days. Mr. Ya Xiaocheng, in his 30s, is from Ma Village, Zhaili Township, Anxin
County. He was sent to a brainwashing center after the persecution started on
