(Clearwisdom.net) New Tang Dynasty Television's (NTDTV) Chinese New Year Spectacular performed by Divine Performing Arts is scheduled to be staged on January 10, 2008 at the Opera House in Boston, and has attracted attention from western media. The Lynn Daily Item introduced the show in its Recreation page on December 27, 2007, in an article entitled, "'Chinese New Year Spectacular' in Boston Jan. 12."

The report stated, "China's history comes to life in the 'Chinese New Year Spectacular' at The Opera House Jan. 10 through Jan. 12."

"'Chinese New Year Spectacular' is a captivating cross-cultural experience that boasts a cast of more than 100 classical Chinese dancers, musicians, vocalists, and a live orchestra.

"The New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV) 'Chinese New Year Spectacular' is returning to Boston for the third year with a brand new production that recreates the glorious ancient arts of the Tang Dynasty. The production is sure to transport the audience into an enchanted realm of music and dance.

"'The "Chinese New Year Spectacular' is the largest and most breathtaking celebration of the Chinese New Year in the world. It is inspired by more than 5,000 years of history and tradition. The production is considered the most authentic cultural observance in the country and it is a visually spellbinding production. It brilliantly showcases traditional dances, songs and symphony from China's Golden Age. By combining Western orchestral music instruments with traditional Chinese music instruments, it captures the spirit of ancient Chinese divine culture. Each performance is set against a series of vibrant rotating backdrops, ranging from the snow-capped mountains of Tibet, to China's pastoral green hillsides, to a serene fairyland landscape.

"With English and Chinese hosts guiding audiences through this celebration of classical arts, they will watch as heavenly beauties descend to the world with gentle grace, listen as the orchestra's celestial melodies fill the air, and feel the pounding of the drums. Some of the greatest names in Chinese performing arts come together in this awe-inspiring show of epic proportions.

"The Chinese New Year Spectacular is brought to the stage through a collaboration of artists and producers led by conductor Rutang Chen and choreographer Yung Yung Tsuai. The performance is an important platform for celebrating the Chinese New Year and appreciating Chinese traditional culture and arts, featuring world-class performances of both Chinese and Western traditional artistry. In 2008, the NTDTV "Chinese New Year Spectacular" is scheduled to perform 120 shows in 50 cities worldwide.
