(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report relates persecution incidents that took place in 23 cities or counties in 12 provinces. Ten Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least 38 practitioners were arrested.

Ms. Han Xiurong, an employee from the Tongxintang Company in Wei County was put into the Zhangjiakou Brainwashing Center on August 4, 2008. She started a hunger strike on September 9, 2008 and has been on it for 12 days. She is extremely weak and in physical danger. Her body is covered in bruises. She has an occasional seizure.

Ms. Tan Xiuyu, in her 60s, is a retired worker from the Hongqi Electrical Line Factory. Personnel from the Yiling District Domestic Security Division and from the 610 Office arrested Ms. Tan and 60-year-old Ms. Zhang from the district in Yichang City in early August 2008. The two ladies were first held in the district's detention center for 15 days and then in the city's detention center for 15 days.

Mr. Liu Chengda, Ms. Wang Ying, Mr. Li Hailong, Mr. Huang Guangyu, Ms. Zheng Fengxiang and Ms. Feng Guirong were arrested between May and July 2007. They have been held in the Jilin City Detention Center for about one and a half years and are facing illegal trials.

Personnel from the Danghu Town Police Station in Pinghu City, Zhejiang Province arrested Ms. Xu Yanping at an Internet Café on the night of March 11, 2008. They put her into a local detention center.

Six policemen broke into Ms. Zhao Rulan's home, arrested Ms. Zhao and confiscated a copier, Dafa books and some Falun Gong informational materials at 1:00 p.m. on May 20, 2008. She is held in the Hexi Detention Center. Ms. Zhao's husband was so traumatized that his vision went blurry. Her daughter was also traumatized and suffered a mental breakdown.

Personnel from the local police station arrested Ms. Wang Peijin and Ms. Guo Changyu from the Hongqi Mine, Donghai Township, Jidong County at noon on September 19, 2008. They ransacked Ms. Wang's home and confiscated a picture of Master Li and some Dafa books at 8:00 p.m. that day. The two ladies are being held in the county's detention center.

Ms. Fan Juncao, 65 years old, is from Gonglu Village, Xinning Town, Ning County. She requested the local 610 Office members to release Ms. Li Qinben in April 2008, but the police arrested her and held her for 15 days. Ms. Fan went to the Ning County Political and Judiciary Committee to request the return of her MP4 player in August 2008, which was confiscated in April 2008; however, police arrested her again and put her into the county's detention center. This is her fifth arrest and the third forced labor term.

Fifty-year-old Ms. Liu Guozhen is a farmer in Libo City, Guizhou Province. When she explained the facts about Falun Gong at a fair on September 15, 2008, the police arrested her. The police then ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, some copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and some Falun Gong flyers. She is being held in the city's detention center.

Police arrested 38-year-old Ms. Chen Xiaoyue on the night of September 18, 2008 for distributing Falun Gong materials. They ransacked her home. Ms. Chen is held in the Zhongshan City Detention Center.

Police arrested Mr. You Xianbang from the Nanhai District, Foshan City at 10:00 p.m. on September 18, 2008. Personnel from the district's 610 Office ransacked his home and confiscated several Dafa books and a picture of Master Li. Mr. You is being held in a detention center.

Policemen from the Jinshantun District 610 Office in Yichun City broke into Mr. Yang Jizhou's home and arrested him and Mr. Wang Kunpeng on the morning of September 15, 2008. They put them into the district's police station and then ransacked their homes. The police confiscated some Dafa books and a tape recorder from Mr. Wang's home. Mr. Wang was released that afternoon. When police ransacked Mr. Yang's home, they brought some Dafa books and planted them in his home to use as "evidence" against Mr. Yang, who is being held in the district's detention center.

Mr. Wang Anqi and his wife Ms. Liu Chunying from Chengguan Yuhuangmiao Village, Changle County were arrested on the morning of August 8, 2008. Personnel from the Chengxi Police Station and the 610 Office ransacked their home and held them in the county's detention center for a month.

Mr. Wang Anqi was released on September 9, 2008, but Ms. Liu was sentenced to one year of forced labor in the Wangcun Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Chen Xiaoling, an employee from the Yunmeng County Railway Station in Xiaogan City, was arrested in early September 2008 and is held in the Wuhan City Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Wu Yicui from Kaijiang County was arrested and her home ransacked on July 31, 2008. Police monitored her cell phone and located her at a relative's home on August 17, 2008. They arrested Ms. Wu and brought her back to Kaijiang County. The police later arrested Ms. Wang Lanying, who has connections with Ms. Wu from the Tongchuan District, Dazhou City.

Personnel from the Wangsheren Town Police Station arrested Mr. Wang Haogui and put him into the Shandong Province No. 2 Forced Labor Camp. All visitation requests to him have been denied.

Sixty-two-year-old Mr. Wang is a farmer from Sunjiawei Village, Wangsheren Town. He had been sentenced to three years of forced labor in October 2002. Mr. Wang went on a hunger strike in the Liuchangshan Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City, but was released in May 2003 because of poor health.

Personnel from the police station broke into Mr. Wang's home and ransacked the place on the morning of August 1, 2008. They then waited at the entrance to the village and arrested Mr. Wang at 11:00 a.m. that day. Mr. Wang's electric vehicle was confiscated.

Personnel from the Yuhu Police Station and from the Pingzheng Street Police Station arrested Mr. Zhang Xingqi and Ms. Tan Aihua at 9:00 p.m. on September 11, 2008.

Personnel from the Heping Street Police Station in Zhenjiang City arrested Ms. Fu Zhuhua and confiscated a computer, a printer, some CDs and paper on September 5, 2008. They also arrested Ms. Zhu's son and other workers. The police arrested Ms. Yang Shuting, Ms. Ai Junqing and her husband Mr. Liu. Police confiscated a computer and some cash. Ms. Bao Shuangdi and Ms. Wang Xiangzhi were also arrested that same day. Police arrested Ms. Tang Meiying and Ms. Yang Xiaoyan on September 9, 2008. The arrested practitioners are being held in the Dongwu Hotel, Xicaiyuan Hotel or Zhuxuan Hotel. Some have been transferred to a detention center.

Personnel from the Zhenxing Police Station in the Xinglongtai District, Panjin City arrested Mr. Zhu Zuohai on the morning of September 16, 2008. The arrest happened while he was distributing Falun Gong materials. Mr. Zhu was put into the Ershilipu Administration Detention Center in Dawa County, Panjin City that same night.
