Australia: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in Mattara Festival Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 12, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney participated in the 47^th Mattara Festival Parade in New Castle and Hunter.

People ask for information about Falun Gong

More than sixty groups attended this year's Mattara Festival, and Falun Gong was the only Chinese group. More than 30,000 people came to the festival, and about 10,000 watched the parade.

The Falun Gong practitioners' entry consisted of the Divine Land Marching Band, the fairy dancing team and a float. The band's performance was especially welcomed.

The organizers introduced the Falun Gong practitioners to spectators, "Falun Gong is an ancient Chinese cultivation form. Practitioners obey the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and practice five sets of exercises. Falun Gong has spread to every corner of the world. If you want to learn Falun Gong, you can go to their booth for details after the parade."

After the parade, practitioners demonstrated the exercises on a stage, and many people stopped to ask for more information about Falun Gong.
